For too long as men, we were going it alone with no guardrails or guidance. Trial and error can be a teacher, at best, not the most efficient teacher. It’s apparent that Larry cares and has much to share directly and through his guests that can help men. I encourage both to listen to shorten their learning and women to better understand the men you care about.

I appreciate the way Larry advocates for fathers to be their strongest, happiest and best selves so they can guide their families to do the same. As a mom, I find his guests and topics applicable to my role in the family, as well.

Hey, being a Dad is not easy. In fact, if you are being thoughtful and wanting to do it right, it can feel downright impossible. Add in the masculine need to be a lone wolf and do it yourself, and fatherhood is a recipe for frustration. This podcast will help you feel heard without ever saying a word, because dads just like us are going through the same struggles. That alone is worth the listen, but the tools to make yourself a better father and husband are invaluable. There are plenty of dad podcasts out there that are…I’ll be kind and say less than useful. This one is head and shoulders above the rest. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen! Your kids will thank you.

After an eye opening talk I had with my 19yr old daughter, she opened my eyes to a lot of mistakes I have made as a father, I found this podcast. I listen to religiously. This is the first review I’ve ever written for a podcast. I’ve listened to Larry’s podcast for 4 years and finally joined the DEA 4 months ago. The content is always relevant, actionable, and at times raw. In a recent episode Larry gives more detail about a season of winter in his life where a knee injury cascaded a victim mindset. His detail and vulnerability hit me in the heart and I felt like he was speaking directly to me. I’m actually recovering from a shoulder injury and experienced some of the same challenges as Larry. The message was well received for me personally and helped remind me that we all have different struggles and have different capacities to deal with them. Health is foundational for me so I’m very sensitive to challenges around health. The message I’ve gotten from Larry and my time in the DEA is to do the proactive work to build resiliency. Also the lone wolf mindset doesn’t work. Find a good pack and lean into your pack. Be ready to have others lean into you. That’s how we thrive rather than just survive.

I’ve been a dad for three years. 3 as a step dad and a year and a half as a dad (so 3 as a dad). I started running to better myself a month ago, I started by listening to David goggins (still recommend him), but this podcast motivates me to no belief. I grew up without a dad, so having children is a massive moment for me (every moment I get is a gift with them). This podcast teaches me to continue being a better person, a better dad, and a better spouse! This podcast has helped me adjust things on my end that nobody would’ve ever told me, but definitely needed to be adjusted. I appreciate you guys more than you imagine!

I’ve been listening for a long time and the podcasts and interviews keep getting better and better. There are other dad/husband/man podcasts out there, but I keep coming back here because Larry takes his similar guests to another level. He asks great questions that will get you a deeper insight about what makes him and his guests tick. Larry is a believer and I love watching and listening to his spiritual growth and walk in faith. I’ve joined the Alliance and I’m all in to be a better, husband, father, and man.

I hope to become a father next year so I thought I'd switch up some of my podcast listening and gave this a shot. I've found the marriage and relationship related episodes very helpful. Larry's recent solo episodes are well-worth listening to. I appreciate that it's not interrupted with A LOT of mid-roll ads!

I’ve been a part of the Alliance for about 6 months. Starting out I wasn’t motivated to participate in the mastermind calls. Then one day it clicked. I’m investing in my own growth and betterment as a father. There’s skin in the game. So I may as well get the most from this investment in myself. Because of that there has been a shift in mindset from what can I get out of this to what can I bring to the table to make a difference in the lives of my fellow Alliance members and by extension the men in my work and family circles. This mission to be better started for me much like it did for Larry Hagner. In 2018 I was a stay at home father of triplets and a newborn. It was a lot to handle. I failed huge. Thanks to the Alliance I have learned how to turn those failing moments into learning experiences. I’ve become a man who is no longer stuck in the mire of self condemnation. Today I am a warrior, clothed and equipped with tools to be the best father God has created me to be. The Alliance has helped me find my core values and understanding who I am as a father, and man. Over the last year, my husband and I had an extremely preterm baby who spent 3 months in the NICU. We processed things very differently and, while we still love each other very much, started to find resentment and distance in our relationship. Then one day he came home, gave me a big kiss, and said that we were going to get better together. He started talking about this podcast. When I first joined I thought it’s was a scam. Until I actually got a email from Larry himself asking for a smart goal at that point I had no idea what he was talking about.. till i he broke it down for me and I joined the dojo and I really is a brotherhood I tell these Guys things I’ve kept locked away for years..they help me look at it from a different set of eyes and a different mind set.. I grew up in a broken home, and my dad was great, but had his issues (as we all do). This show has helped me and challenged me to grow as a husband, father, and man that my wife, daughter and friends deserve . Larry is genuinely authentic about not just life in general, but also his own personal life and he brings on guests that do the same. I recommend the show to anyone who is willing to be challenged to grow.

I found Dad Edge about 2 1/2 years ago when my wife was pregnant with our first child. Value alignment on many levels and has impacted my life in so many ways. From introducing me to F3 (a free men’s workout group that I eventually led an expansion of where I live) to actually becoming a part of the alliance and spending 15 weeks with Larry in a Marriage Mastermind. It’s been an awesome ride so far!

This podcast and movement has been integral in helping me to level up in my connection to all aspects of fatherhood. I have not listened to an episode yet where I didn’t pick up a tip or trick to become more aware and conscious of my actions around my family. The Dad Edge Podcast episodes are outstanding. The host does an excellent job every time. He is real, genuine and extremely honest when it comes to issues that men deal with every day, but most are afraid to admit. He tackles a variety of issues and shares his struggles as well. Not only does he do a great job as an interviewer, he nails the listener role as well giving his guests the chance to finish their thoughts. Something that is often a lost art among podcasters and interviewers these days. I’d highly recommend the Dad Edge to any man that is willing to dig in. Dad Edge (or Good Dad Project) use to be the best podcast on any platform for Men thriving to be better husbands, fathers, and men. In the last few years, Larry seemed to stop being the vulnerable man trying to help us to now he is trying to build his reach/platform. This has lowered the quality of content and he is further away from the ground floor or his movement. If you want phenomenal material listen to his first few years or content. Larry, thanks for the early years. You helped a lot of men!

I have been an avid listener for three years now. The lessons I have learned have helped make me the man my wife and daughter deserve. I have been following the Dad Edge for going on three years. I finally pulled the trigger and joined the DEA 3 months ago. Man it’s been a roller coaster but there is not a more humble group of men. I have found a place of belonging where every man is open with each other. It is not the norm today’s society puts on men.
