Hypocrite
On July 15th 2026 I finally had enough. Eric is a hypocrite. Whole episode he pontificated on trust his opinion on don’t trust commentators online. He spent time going after other commentators. I’m not a fan of who he went after but he couldn’t distinguish between the Pope and commentators. Weak mind so weak thoughts.

Not you too!
You just lost ALL credibility. You bad mouthing Candace is a disgrace! She and she alone is opening our eyes to the horrible things that are happening in this country/world. She may be harsh at times but at least she’s not afraid to ruffle feathers. I don’t see any so called good Catholic men leading this charge. If you haven’t listened to Charlie or Candace then you can’t see the huge shift since his assassination. Get out the way on this one sir.

It’s not okay
To ask whether SSPX is needed is manipulative without giving numbers. They have 734 priests and 264 seminarians, which is 997 worldwide compared to FSSP 300 priests and ICTK 50 priests. Your premise that there would be more Latin Mass today, if they compromised with FSSP makes zero sense. Clearly those who compromised have not grown as much! On top of that the closing of TLMs within dioceses being in the news, one is confounded to understand what you are talking about? This is basic math and disingenuous to the fact that FSSP would not even exist without SSPX being its origin. Moreover when they closed NO churches, who was there? That was not centuries ago. It makes it hard to think you have good will here.

gratitude for catholic teachings
as a hopeful catholic convert, the podcasts on the purpose of mass and the rosary have been excellent for my spiritual development

Vatican II 60 years
Eric: I suggest you discuss with and then interview Fr. Murr on this subject. He and I are the same age. I’m a revert and love the TLM and attend the NO with my wife.
Fr. Murr celebrates TLM every day , and I’m sure you know his history with the Vatican and his friendship with some big hitters of the 70’s and 80’s.
He has a good understanding and view of Vatican II which I think is really much like your own.
Vatican II is legitimate but has issues in some documents.
The fruit is mostly terrible. I remember.
As Fr. says, the documents can be fixed.
If you say bury the Council, you play into the hands of the progressives.
I think Fr. Idea is more likely to bring good fruit.
God bless you and your family and keep up the good work.

Stay in your lane
Why are you talking about a crisis that isn’t Catholic?? Only talk about what I want you to talk about.

Appreciate the Perspectives
I read Crisis Magazine but this was my first time listening to your podcast. I listened to the episode about the new pope. I appreciated the diversity of viewpoints even among 3 traditional practicing Catholics. While I have heard some other perspectives that mirrored some of your thoughts, I still learned a lot and I appreciate the church history lesson as well as debunking some of the rumors out there. I will definitely listen again!

Not well thought out
I listened to one episode and that was all I needed to understand the host doesn’t have a deep understanding of what the Church is and and what the responsibilities of the Bishops and Laity are. With his fundamentally flawed “the Bishops have no say in immigration policy” he exposes himself as just as morally compromised as the bishops he is accusing of being compromised. I won’t be sharing this and will make sure to tell people it’s toxic to the Faith.

Great content
Long time listener and reader. Always a blessing to follow along with what Crisis puts out. Only complaint is that this podcast is the only podcast I listen to that has spotty audio.

Discernment!
Great to get an unapologetic viewpoint on traditional Catholicism and how it relates to present Church actions and practices.

Conservative vs. Traditional
110621 - Review of Podcast
I’ve listened to the first 5 minutes and still don’t know the difference between conservative versus traditional Catholics. JPII made McCarrick a Cardinal. Benedict and Francis allowed him to stay in office. Joe Paterno took the blame for Sandusky, but Catholics are hesitant to de-canonize JPII. Until the McCarrick cover-up is recognized as a crime, the Church will continue to be led by the Devil. Wake up, Catholics. Clericalism reigns supreme with zero regard for the truth or for the laity. Every Bishop must resign and then re-submit their application to become a bishop to a diocesan lay committee. The Church is founded by Christ and led by the Holy Spirit. Like the Grand Inquisitor, a return to the primitive Church will harm clerics who have made a fortune on the backs of a naive laity. I refuse to fund any fund-raising that gives money to a diocese. I support Catholic prison ministries, local pro-life ministries and all local “Matthew 25” efforts to help the physically and spiritually outcasts.

Great Podcast
Thank you Eric for being a source of level headed ness. We have many podcasters who just throw out the first thing that comes to their head but you think before you speak which we need more of.

The Quality and Substance Shows
Crisis Magazine is intellectually and stylistically first rate and this podcast reflects those standards. The same ideas, presented with passion and persuasion, make the podcast good enough to sacrifice my greatest asset, my scarce time. Thank you and congratulations on your excellent work.
