The Conversation Is The Relationship
Lillah Penddah, Founder of AFRO FACTS, DEIB Speaker, and world changer
Time to get comfortable with the uncomfortable! I will be sharing my lived experiences of not growing up around other Black people, increasing my own awareness around systemic racism, and interviewing members of different minority groups from all facets of life to hear their stories and learn through the lens of their experiences. We will be going deep as we answer the questions of how can we be a better ally? What is it that we don’t know, we don’t know? And how are we unknowingly contributing to systemic racism and discrimination? in order to tap into the power we have to change the world.

He shares his own coming out story, the support he received from unexpected places within his family, and how he became the antithesis of his experiences and was still able to use what he learned along the way to break the cycle. Our converstation really resonated with me as much of his own experiences with his family mirrored my own which we were both surprised by.
