I’ve been dancing around this show for about 2 years-hearing it on other podcasts and occasionally listening to an episode here and there on my own. I have no idea why I never dove straight in! I have listened to The Confessional’s for years. Recently we had an X Space with Tony to discuss many of his guests and an understanding of what is going on with all the different aspects of the phenomena. It’s people and shows like this that will rewrite the false history we have been taught in school. Open your mind and give a listen.

This Podcast used to be great.Last year I gave it a 5 star but now it’s down to a 1 because of all the Bible and ufo stuff Tony’s guests talk about.I read what the new episode is about and go on to some one else’s.3-30-24.

I have to say this is the best podcast point blank period! Never have I heard so many cool, inspiring, insightful, entertaining, enlightening and engaging stories from such a diverse audience. I started listening back in August 2023 and I’ve listened to every episode. It’s made me look back on my experiences with the paranormal and my faith in a new light. Tony, God bless you and your family.

Honestly one of my favorite shows, been listening for awhile. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is because of the frequency of religious convo. I tend to skip alot of episodes that would otherwise be great

Tony Markel is a coward of the first degree. If you have a criticism, Tony will eject you. Like a coward would do. What a snowflake. Tony, all your guns amount to nothing if you can’t handle a critical comment from a PAYING MEMBER.

The Confessionals has become my go to podcast. I can relate to so many of your guests stories. I live just down the road in Maryville and would love to share the experiences one day. I listen at work, when driving, and when biking! Keep the great guests coming! “Did you say Nephilim!?”

Show was very interesting when I first found it. I even paid to get the members episodes. Then I realized a lot of his guests would just use word salads in the stories. It became obvious a lot of them were just seeking attention. Then Tony started becoming a “Christian” which is fine with me, but when you use those made up names for God that are from people that aren’t God’s people I can’t listen to that anymore. It tells me you’re either deceived or a deceiver.

Loved the show and I do believe there’s a god but I want weird stories not a bible study

Tony is such a nice guy. You can hear and see his humble and kind nature. This show at times has scared me a little but the wealth of information here is priceless. I say it has scared me because some of the topics I know are real stories. Tony is super smart and he asks people really good questions too. I feel like he seems like he’s not listening but then he comes back with a question that really helps people work through their encounters. He’s just so kind that he lets people talk and then he clarifies once they’re done telling their story. It’s obvious he is passionate about what he’s doing, he’s passionate about learning new things, and he genuinely cares about people. I’m happy I found this show and I feel like it’s been part of my awakening. I have learned so much and my mind has been able to put together some of my own experiences. Just listen to it!

I love everything about this show. The stories, the production, the people. I haven't watched the documentaries. Saving it for a rainy day. This is really one of the only podcasts I can listen all the way through and then re-listen immediately after. I especially like the portal episodes and the episodes dealing with mental health issues. I've been in multiple situations in mental health where I was sure they were oppressed or possessed. Mostly in the intake process. Once they get meds they quiet down, but the oppression is definitely still there. They just lack the energy to express whatever it is. Only constructive criticism I can give is when you do reloaded shows, could you put the date it was originally recorded? Just so I know how long ago it was, and if I heard it recently. Love the quality on those and thanks for letting us hear some of those older member episodes.

Old shows were much better than the new. No need for the "Taylor Swift " style posse! Don't think I'll be listening any longer. Your better with just you and a guest , talking one on one. everybody deserves to grow and expand and change, but this isn't the direction.

Tony seems like a good guy and I don’t have a problem about him talking about his Christianity once in a while but I would say 80% or more of the show’s guests are hardcore Jesus people which usually comes out i their stories in the form of “and then I told the demon to leave me alone in the name of JESUS!!” and of course miraculously all the paranormal stuff ceases. I especially hate when that happens when the story’s good bc the credibility flies out the window and there’s a clear insinuation that if you’re not religious you are attracting evil energy. Multiple times they equate stuff like astrology, meditation, and yoga to playing with a Ouija board and attracting evil entities. Also, everything is demonic, according to the Confessionals, so you better repent and buy their doomsday supplies kit before the demons destroy the world. Yawn.

And went from being a good show talking about cool subjects to becoming a religious show. I dont mind if you do shows that have a religious aspect every once in awhile but recently that’s all he does. I’m tired of hearing about Nephilim from the Bible. Blah blah blah.

I only recently discovered The Confessionals but I have, in a short time, listened to ALL of the episodes. From Bigfoot, to Nephilim, to UFOs, to Fallen Angels... this is such a wild ride!!! I just became a member on the Member's Only app and wow even more stuff that is mind reeling. Thank you, Tony!!!!

Before I get started, this is an AMAZING SHOW! I started listening over 5 years ago and I've watched something small grow into an absolute powerhouse since then!! In saying that, I have a hard time understanding the vitriol over a man feeding his family. The amount of "Hater" comments over a man providing for his family doing what he loves in unreal. And it's funny because the majority of comments are great but if course the "Haters" ALWAYS stand out. The fact that they have lives they are unhappy with so they come on here to down a man who is doing better then them is hilarious. OR... get mad over Tony having Christian guests on frequently to talk about Biblical creatures and/or Biblical matters. I forgot the part where Tony never said he wasn't a Christian... AGAIN... hilarious!!! I'll say this, TONY KEEP DOING YOU!!!! You have become wildly successful, and not because of THOSE people. You did it by BEING YOU!!! "The Truth Will Set You Free, But First..." - These critics clearly know how this ends!!!

This is an amazing show! Tony has for years brought a wealth of knowledge to the forefront of the cryptid/ufo/paranormal audience. I have to say, it has only gotten better! I LOVE the Biblical angles and the Nephilim talk the most, but I always have time for ALL of the information that is given. The way Tony has put on several other podcasters is probably the best thing I have seen, to the point he’s even had some guest host the show, Cryptids of the Corn being one great example!! He’s a true innovator and definitely building an empire with Merkel Media. I will always support this show and everything that comes along with it!!!

The show started to get worse when he quit his day job to become a full-time podcaster. You can see the desperation and the profit motive.

In the earlier seasons, I really enjoyed the interviews, the content and the open discussions. Now, the newer seasons are very preachy- not everyone is a Christian, not everyone believes in Jesus. Some of Tony’s friends/guests really rob me the wrong way with their insinuations that if you don’t “find god” you’re going to suffer in varying ways. Please, make this podcast a reflection of the material presented and offer a platform for discussion, not religion.

I’ve been listening since 2017 and he had the best paranormal interviews. Sometimes religion would come up and it didn’t bother me but now it’s brought up ALL the time. There’s also so much conspiracy crap. I mean there was always a little that but now it’s just full blown. I also paid in 2021 to go to Pennsylvania to do the ghost tour thing. My husband ended up getting appendicitis right before I was supposed to go and they wouldn’t give me a refund. Despite that I think I was just in denial because it’s been my favorite podcast for years, but it’s just gone downhill.

Started out cool. But now it’s just stupid and the guests are all just making up stupid stories and it’s very obvious.

Food poisoning equates to molesting kids? Ummmm not a good look. I’m a fan of the podcast and I don’t hold tony on this but dude should’ve left that one alone

I have been listening to podcasts for years and would always struggle to find one that would keep me interested. The Confessionals is the only one that has not only become a regular listen of mine, but I couldn’t get enough and had to become a member for more episodes! The topics are so interesting, all the amazing guests and the courage they show sharing their experiences…amazing work Confessionals crew!

I absolutely love love love your show! It’s crazy I did a fast in September and ever since then so much has been revealed to me about THE TRUTH! My eyes are wide open and everything is so clear to me now. But it was always there. I just didn’t see it. Thank you so much for all the guests you bring on, for being brave enough to have this platform. Don’t stop don’t stop don’t ever stop!!
