I LOVE THIS PODCAST This podcast really shone me how to use a computer like a pro

Simple, Clear guidance. One of my favorite podcasts. Always waiting for the next episode.

This was a well conceived, well produced, simply presented but not dumbed down offering for the everyday computer user. Has deteriorated since the podcaster started an unrelated podcast and changed podcast schedule to every other week.

I'm not a tech expert but I'm always trying to gain more confidence using and troubleshooting my computer. He finds and tests various freeware programs, websites, and solutions and then tells you in plain English how to make your "computer life" something to enjoy and not fear so much. If you go through the archived podcasts you will find numerous tips you will want to use. When I recently purchased a new computer, I treated myself to the luxury of having Scott remotely set it up for me in a professional way, and what a luxury it was! It was as if he was sitting in the room with me in NJ. All files got transferred, nightly backup is assured, and I am not overloaded with ads and bloatware. Enjoy his podcasts!

When I am working as a new IT support tech, I listen to this podcast and learn a lot. One of the amazing things was how to read articles in Chrome with no clutter. Thanks for taking the time and sharing your experience.

Scott makes all the techy computer stuff so easy to understand. Awesome for beginners and for some of us who know enough to be dangerous ......Thanks for making it so clear!!!

I can't think of an easier, more effective, and entertaining way to learn more about the computer. I hate dealing with the computer and Scott makes my hate relationship become more of a love/hate! He provides quick tips, in a short engaging podcast that I am not only able to understand but apply! Thanks Scott for what you do!

Podcast is short and to the point. Clearly explains why a topic is important to me, then what action(s) I should take. I even enjoy listening to him explain things that I already understand because he makes listening fun.

Want to stay atop your computer and other techie issues but often feel overwhelmed? The Computer Tutor breaks it all down for you in simple and easy to digest nuggerts. A great resource.

not sure why I'm only seeing reviews from 5 years ago, but this podcast is really helpful to help me feel a little less anxiety about always feeling behind on all the changes in technology. Although a lot of the software has become "smart" it's anxiety relieving to have more understanding about what's going on behind the scenes in bite size not so technical language. Plus all the cool "tricks" ( or hacks as they might say lately) are great too.

This is probably the most valuable podcast around.

i love working efficiently on the computers and litte tips and tricks help a lot. I Have been looking for computer tips for more than a decade on podcast and elsewhere on internet. I Have never come across such handy and useful tips as provided by Scott. I love this podcast and it has really helped me in my everyday work. i knew the importance of backup but have not been so meticulous unless Scott made me realize its importance and risk on not doing so... thanks Scott for easy to understand and extremely useful tips. Many a times, i only go to jogging so that i could listen to some useful tips by Scott.

I do a lot of walking for exercise and consume many podcasts. I found The Computer Tutor and have enjoyed many episodes. The young wizard that has been helping me with computer maintenance has finally gotten too busy with college to give prompt service anymore. I plan to call Scott next time I need help.

Scott does a VERY good job at making the subjects meaningfull and easy.

I just found this podcast and I'm so glad I did. During summer, I am in a tractor almost every day and it gives me something to listen to instead of the radio. I'm glad that all 200 episodes are still available on iTunes. I have been downloading all of the previous episodes and listening to about 20 of them each day. He's got really good tips and they are so easy to understand. Once I get through each episode, I will be going back and listening to them again just so this stuff becomes second nature to me. Thank you, Scott. Keep up with the great tips! I'll be listening each week from now on. Maybe I'll even hear you read my review over the air.

If you want an excellent podcast, you foud it. I've went back and listen to almost all of his episods and still cant believe he hits on soooo many problems that I've been having. Get to know scott segment is very interesting too. If anything that could be better would be the audio clips that he puts in at certain times of the show, they get very loud, but that is the only thing. 5 stars from me thank you scott.

I absolutely LOVE Scott's podcast. I have learned so much that is really helpful, even though I know how to do several technical things already. Yet, I Scott's your tips like LastPass and Macrium Reflect so that you do not have to remember secure passwords, and that you can image your hard drive to have several backups. These are so helpful. Keep up the good work Scott!

I used to listen to the computer guy on the radio. Or Kim kamando. She charges for her website now so she is out. I finally found this guy. He is great and I love him!

I listen to many podcasts. I jump around from one to another, but I don't listen to any consistently except this one. It's very useful, to the point and easy to understand. That's hard to come by!

I grew up with computers and taught myself 99% of what I know about them. I know how to build computers and, as a PhD student and researcher, I am fully dependent on my computer for my career. BUT being self-taught means I have a lot of knowledge in some areas and very little in others. Thus, I can program my own Windows applications in Visual Basic, analyze data using MATLAB and SPSS, remap my keyboard keys using AuthoHotkey, and replace burned out capaciters to fix my broken computer monitors. Why do I listen to this podcast? Because Scott evens out the areas of knowledge about computers that I have completely neglected in my problem-focused approach to computers. These are things like security, efficient backup and recovery plans, and good online computer etiquette. In addition, the little tips and tricks such as how to force YouTube to fully buffer videos, replacing ethernet cables to speed up internet speeds, and general opinions about the various software packages that are available make my busy life just a little bit easier. I highly recommend Scott's podcast for experienced and inexperienced users alike. Keep it up Scott!

Scott delivers helpful hints and tips that have helped me discover functions that make sense for every day use of my PC. His blog is great, but his to-the-point podcast gives valuable info without the "tech-talk." We need more of these podcasts. Great job, Scott.
