Hands down the lowest quality climbing/mountain podcast out there
Broxterman is almost incapable of good interviewing. He can’t recognize good conversational flow, he routinely abandons rich veins of interest, doesn’t know how to ask open ended questions. That’s one feature of the interviewing that bugs me the most - nearly all of his are false binaries that restrict the response of the interviewee. This is the worst thing you can do as an interviewer! You should induce the interviewee to reflect on their experience rather than funneling them toward one of two options. Don’t assume you know how they will think about something and bake that assumption into your questions. Back to the drawing board, Kyle. Unfollowed, despite having interesting guests because the host has put no effort into refining his skill as an interviewer.

SAR interview
The podcast that you did with LVMPD SAR officer is extremely good. I live in Las Vegas and some of the stuff he was speaking about was a good reminder for what to do went out in a red rock, and also just the knowledge that he brought about the structure of LVMPD SARs is amazing. This is a great podcast thank you. I would definitely like to see more search and rescue interviews. Hearing what to do from the people that are going to come save you is extremely beneficial.

Great concept, good interviews
I am 100% behind this project. I really like the thoroughness, length and detail of these conversations, how they meander on, around, off, and back on the title topic, like a real conversation. I don’t listen to every episode, but really appreciate the ones I do listen to when the title or topic catches my interest. The host is also becoming a much better interviewer - I dig following his train of thought as he draws more and more detail out of his guests. Has a bit of the down-home, super in-the-weeds vibe of the early episodes of the Enormocast. Keep it up!

I loved the Interview with Nathan Longhurst, great questions asked to get to the heart of his experience where he submitted the 100 peaks in New Zealand and the flying off of most of them. An amazing accomplishment!!!!!

Unique perspectives
I appreciate the idea behind the podcast - bringing the majority’s stories to the forefront. So many climbers are passionate about the sport and have unique perspectives and approaches that we don’t get to hear about when the media we consume is only about the pros.

Interviewers Are easy to listen to
I trained on Royal Robbins' books and VHS tapes with John long and Peter Croft in them. climbed JT and Yosemite in the early 90s. . Gorilla Monsoon is a good book. Got to watch Jim Bridwell second a short 10c in JT under a distracted belayer. His legs shook a little, and he sent it. More pods please, you guys, thanks for what you've done so far. Pretty dang good

Great podcast
For some reason this show feels more relatable and inspiring than other climbing podcasts. The guests and interviews are awesome.

Meaningful, empowering
When I found this podcast I wanted to support my ice climbing goals and am really surprised at how relevant this podcast is for people who don’t climb. I’ve been in tech my entire career. I’ve been doing workforce development for over a decade. I’ve supported over 1,000 veterans, minorities, and women with getting work experience in technology so they could get their first or better jobs. I’m not doing as much workforce development these days compared to before, but I’m definitely going to refer this podcast to the smaller groups I support these days. This podcast is meaningful and incredibly empowering.
