In the final episode. I used a wordplay about falling. Then, I used a quote by Aristotle about the energy of the mind.  In this week’s ROPE,  I talked about different iterations of Batman. I talked about learning about the ignominious or disgraceful definitions. I talked about the 1989 Batman movie with the Alexander Knox character. I then talked about some of the disability shame around needing to be fixed and healed. I later talked about the importance of falling from the Batman Begins movie. EP111: 6Ts with Social Insecurity and Social Security

Many times, I chose not to participate because it was the safer choice. I worried about not only my needs, but also the needs of others around me. I sometimes felt a responsibility for everyone’s else’s safety. EP110: 6Ts with Quality Control  and the Medical Model
I used a wordplay about quality control and quality comfort. Then, I used a quote by Aristotle about quality.  In this week’s ROPE,  I talked about how my dad spent 30 years in quality control. He dealt with the FDA and consent decrees. Consent Decrees were negotiated agreements with the FDA to make improvements and maintain quality. My dad had the idea that I needed to be fixed, like in the medical model of disability. My crutches were my management tools. They were part of my identity. My dad grew up with eyeglasses as part of his identity. My dad struggled with crutches when he had a short-term foot injury.
