This is the most enjoyable podcast of my week. The Greenes are always well prepared for their interviews. I’ve sometimes heard an author “make the rounds” of podcasts, and the Catholic Conversation interview is the most engaging of them all. Steve & Becky’s pre-interview banter I find very amusing and endearing. I really look forward to Fridays to see who’s on this week’s show. Thank you!!!

I had previously enjoyed the banter and Catholic content on this podcast, but will not be listening anymore, after the female cohost today proudly shared that she ignores posted signs requiring people to wear masks in public places. She also made an offhand statement talking about how too many people are listening to and being confused by “science”. While nobody could have ever confused her for an intellectual before this commentary, this statement is reckless and selfish, and ignorant to the fact that Catholicism and science need not be mutually exclusive; and that we are given an incredible opportunity to show care and selflessness to our neighbors - the most Christian of all callings - in these times. I will be redirecting my time to more learned and rational Catholic podcasts going forward.

I really enjoy all the interviews and talks, there is a lot of great stuff to listen too that will really make you laugh, cry and live your life better. Great job all around. God bless you all.

I listened to a few podcasts which I really enjoyed listening to. There was one in particular that confused me a bit. It was the one about the New Age. I understood the bit on reiki being dangerous and some eastern practices. Those were very clear. However I am confused about why things are getting lumped in that were practiced in Europe and earlier (ie, Jesus’ time and prior) specifically essential oils. Depending on what part of the world you are in your “ordinary practices” will differ extremely. Which would include resorting to more natural resources. There is a ton of science and documentation in Europe (hence 3 European models of essential oil usage) that can scientifically explain the chemistry between that and your body. Then the usage during Jesus’ time and the ritual of anointing with oils currently to this date. I am a cradle catholic and this is a concern for me because my health failed due to western medicine and it has taken tons of searching holistically and prayer to get better. Since I do have a medical background and plenty of friends and colleagues in different parts of the medical field it’s a bit unsettling to hear this. We are also meant to care for the unborn but have not yet as a church addressed that vaccines have aborted baby fetus in them. In some of these vaccines aborted fetal tissue is what the vaccine is cultivated. Is this ordinary means? It’s just very confusing as I am thinking about the science that has been done to prove that chemical compounds aren’t always the best way to go.

Great Catholic podcast! Very relevant to todays conversations. Enjoy hearing theior stories from their own lives in raising Catholic kids in todays culture.
