Impact investing is an investment that produces a high social and environmental impact that lifts communities where the business is located and provides value to stakeholders. Value provision happens when an investment provides fair and formal employment in a fragmented, inherently informal market. One example of impact investing is the Green Coffee company, the number one largest coffee producer in Columbia was initially thought of as alternative cash-flowing real estate that involves acquiring land holdings that produce cash flow through agriculture and spit off cash flow to investors, Josh and the Legacy Group started to think bigger and emphasized on the magnitude of the impact of an investment. It is now the number one largest coffee producer in Colombia. Their goal is to make it the largest Arabic producer globally in the next few years.
