I rarely leave reviews, however I am consistently amazed at how helpful this podcast is to my life and my leadership! Not only do the guests have relevant gold nuggets that I am able to apply almost immediately, but the resources that Carey mentions are truly game changing! Thank you so much for all that you do!

Love the long form interviews so you can really HEAR from the people sharing.

I have downloaded this podcast to learn about leadership but did not think I would listen to something for over an hour. I have changed my mind. The conversations go from good point to good point and are very back and forth. I always learn something. Worth the time.

Good discussion on leadership and spiritual formation. It could have been even more inspiring if John could have shared lessons learned from his own personal failure in leadership at Menlo Park.

I am a huge fan of Carey Nieuwhof’s podcasts. Adam Grant continues to be my favorite. However, the John Ortberg conversation on leadership vs formation was also near and dear. First, because John is near and dear to me. Second, because I have been wrestling with a Hana Arendt saying that a flourishing life is a combination of an active life and a contemplative life. In secular terms, Arendt is speaking to the same mix that John unpacks beautifully in the latest episode.

I’ve been listening to this podcast almost since it started. Quality interviews and insights here - grateful for these “remote mentors” in my life!

I have been a listener for about 2 years now. Anytime I catch myself lagging behind on the latest episodes, I get a healthy sense of FOMO in wanting to hear the next speaker Carey interviews. This has become my #1 favorite podcast!

I have been listening for several years. I continue to listen though I retired as a executive pastor over a year ago. I love how Carey brings out the personal side of great leaders. I’m always inspired and challenged by new Kingdom ideas. Worth the investment to listen.

I have enjoyed this pod cast. The biggest thing I can pull from this is being intentional with life as a Christian. Which is interesting, because as a former youth pastor this was how my wife and I interviewed for positions and lots of time we never got a church position because we were intentionally living authenticity. It awesome to see how the body of Christ is finally getting “woke” to being real. -Moose

Are you a leader in any capacity? If so, listening to this podcast is one of the best investments of time you can make each week. In an overwhelming sea of content, Carey filters out the mediocre and curates an outstanding collection of the most important thought leaders of our time. I’m probably not the typical listener (female, Millennial, not a church leader), yet I glean valuable insights from each of his interviews. Carey’s introduced me to leaders and great books I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. Highly recommend you subscribe!

I have been a long-time fan of this show and listened for years but only recently learned how to review! I cannot say enough about how incredibly helpful and high quality these podcasts are. I come away learning from a variety of viewpoints. Carey is an excellent and thoughtful interviewer, and these podcasts are especially helpful for church leaders but also apply to leaders from other arenas. I will be listening for a long time to come and continue to learn!

I subscribed to Carey’s podcast a number of years ago. The content is timely, informative and downright interesting. I appreciate the diversity of guests and topics, and particularly appreciate the faith based approach. Carey’s interview style is also very engaging and authentic. Keep doing what you’re doing.

I started listening to this podcast around age 15 working as a landscaper. I gathered so many insights from the ideas, concepts, and wisdom shared. But more significantly, I gained vision on what I am called to do in this world and the impact I am intended to make in the lives of others. The broad scope of leadership and growth experts who speak on this podcast, combined with Carey’s own genius and inquisitive questions, has given me many of the tools and much of the perspective I’ve used to grow in my own education and build my business and teams. A huge thanks to Carey for being such a significant guide in my journey! After listening to this podcast I will certainly never lead like I did before!

Carey has the most interesting and insightful guests of any podcast I’ve listen to. I usually take a ton of notes from the people he interviews and his questions are outstanding. I love his emphasis on building up the church and bringing in business leaders who love the Lord. This podcast has open my eyes as to how to be an amazing business leader and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Keep up the great work, Carey!

When I make the time to listen to these conversations, I’m always so grateful that I do. So many episodes are chock full of challenges for my own personal leadership journey, and encouraging along the way. I am never disappointed with the amount of things I can take away. Always worth the listen.

I just finished listening to Carey’s interview with Dr. Karyn Gordon and was amazed with the explanation of the connection between control and anxiety, and how anxiety is a feeling driven by our thoughts. During the interview Dr. Karyn inspires you to focus on the things you can control and know when to “put up your hands” and admit that you are struggling. Thank you Carey Nieuwhof for these insightful conversations.

Such an easy listen at the same time as asking excellent questions that draw out the nuggets of wisdom that the guests have to offer!!!!

This is a fantastic podcast, great nuggets, insightful conversations, and awesome guests. My only suggestion is the amount of selling in the beginning, one episode was about 15 mins before the actual podcast started. I respect this leader and blessed by his heart. Save all the selling to the end. Let’s get to the content at the beginning. It seems like a super long sermon introduction that never gets to the meat.

The content was fantastic , as I have a 16yo and a 19yo. The EarPod issues and the interaction about that is EXACTLY what we all need to hear. It not only does not take away from the message about how teens want to be communicated with, it shows that Jon has a real “Dad” Relationship. Many times, I listen to books on audible , and read books as well as listen to podcasts that make the authors seem many times , as almost untouchable doe to their polished work. This vulnerability is what more of us need to hear. Thank you CN for leaving that in. Listening again soon !

Carey is selling himself, polished and put-together, and hoping listeners will buy it. There’s some good nuggets, but it takes a lot of wading through materialism and the so-called good life (rather than abundant life) to find it.

Carey does a stellar job with this podcast. He hosts a variety of very interesting guests and leaders and he asks very thoughtful questions and has really meaningful conversations. Highly recommend to both be entertained and challenged to think about your life & leadership. Keep up the great work, Carey & Team!

Not every subject is of interest to me. Not every guest reaches out and grabs me. But this is still my go-to podcast…my favorite by far. How helpful it has been during these challenging days in which we live.

Wow, what a prideful man. Even after his sabbatical, he remains highly prideful. What a turnoff. This attitude is a common reason of why people are turned away from the church. Disappointing!
