The Canny Life
Welcome to the Canny Life, a financial education podcast to support the journey of women, couples and families who want to achieve financial wellbeing and wealth. This is also a podcast for those tired of trying to understand why finances need to be so complicated and want a jargon-free, simple way of learning! This project came to life after the frustrations of a normal couple with the financial system and how they sorted their lives through proper financial education to be back on the path of licit wealth! During their journey, they realised most of the people don’t receive proper financial education throughout their lives, yet everyone is still pushed to take complex financial decisions on an everyday basis. Most people are either self-learners on this lonely journey or, when they receive any form of advice it mainly comes from relatives and friends who don’t know themselves or, even worse, from companies and advisors who have provided biased information! Hardly enough for everyone, women are yet to be at a wider disadvantage, as most of the ‘gender-neutral’ information is handled by men! Our intention is to speak in a simple language so we can support your learning and perhaps inspire you to do your best effort to achieve your dreams.

Episode 10 - Roadmap to wealth
In this episode, the last one of the season, I speak about the seven steps to help balance your finances and help you build a solid path for wealth. These steps cover most of the situations and it doesn't matter if you are on step 1 or 3 or 4… but understanding your situation and what should be the next one will be important to avoid financial traps. And before you think this is a magic formula to get rich quicker, be aware that it is the opposite - they take time to be achieved and the consistency of working on them is what will make it happen. But knowing the roadmap can definitely save you a lot of trial and error (a.k.a. saving you time and money!)

Episode 9 - From dreams, to plans, to goals
In this episode I speak about the correlation between money and happiness. It is said that more money will not bring us more happiness (debatable when you are struggling with bills, I agree!). However, once we have our basic needs satisfied we should take a look at what else would truly be bringing happiness, as ultimately, waste of money is to spend on things you don’t truly want and we all should work to achieve our dreams. And how to make a dream come to a life? By having a plan - so in this episode, I also help you translate your dreams into plans with some practical examples!
