Happy Merdeka Day to all Malaysian! In this week's episode we talked about celebrating Merdeka growing up and how we celebrate it now. We reminisced a particular play we all were in during high school (that might have been related to Merdeka, we can't remember). We then proceeded to talk about how proud we are of Malaysia and how we hope Malaysia will further thrive as a nation in the future.
There is something special about this episode as we have a couple of surprises for you! Spoiler alert: We flew a guest all the way from the USA and he has the same name as one of the former US President. Do listen to find out more.

The boys are back!
After a two weeks break due to busy schedule, your favourite four are back with another episode and this time it is about addiction. Amri shared his love-hate relationship with coffee as he grew up to realise that coffee is not so bad after all. Aiman and Imran disagrees as they prefer tea (lol). On the topic of tea, catch a funny story on how Khalish used to be addicted to a certain type of expensive tea and would even get Aiman & Imran the drinks for free for them to have it too. On the sweet side, listen to Imran's tale on his dessert hiatus (which ended abruptly at a party) and Aiman as always justifies his gaming addiction.
This week it was different as we venture into video podcasting (thus, excuse the sound quality). As always, do reach out to us on social media:

We talked from the heart this week. We feel the voice of youth needs to be heard all around the world and needs to be given the same amount of respect as any other voices. We delved into the recurring problem of youth being disrespected and not heard. We also talked about the commonly found idea of a "conventional path to success" and why with changing times there are other options too. Towards the end, Amri shared an interesting fact that I am sure is mind boggling for most of you. Find out what's that.

In this episode we tackle the issue fanaticism. We used sport, movies and music fanaticism as examples. We discussed on how sport fanaticism in the UK is reflected in Malaysia and why that is. Imran talked about music fanaticism through the story of The Beatles and the theories behind the tragic death of John Lennon. As it went to quite a low note towards the end, Khalish talked about the positive of fanaticism extracted from the interview of Bill Gates. Amri & Aiman added on points as to how to prevent extreme fanaticism.

We're back with a lighthearted episode on our virtual idols. Khalish talked about the pioneer of YouTube virality, Annoying Orange. Amri went on to give a lengthy presentation on why he enjoys the videos of David Dobrik while Aiman talked about Michael Grzesiek, also known as Shroud, his gaming idol. Before the end, Imran talked about his admiration for Casey Neistat for his vlogs on YouTube. To end it, a small argument sparked when discussing Liverpool as the Premier League champions (Obviously the Spurs fan will be celebrating as well!).

This week we go personal as we discuss what we would do differently from our parents. In this episode, Khalish talked about how he came to realise financial management is a crucial education early on. Aiman shared his experience of having his nephews staying with him and how that taught him a thing or two about taking care of them. The point of to allow your child to open up and create an emotional bond with them was suggested by Amri and backed up by Imran saying he wants to be the main source of information for his children. Have you ever bought something totally out of nowhere and made a split second decision to purchase it? This week we talk about impulse purchases and how we as consumers sometimes fall into the sellers' trap into making purchases out of emotional sentiments, and not based on needs or logic. Khalish laid out the foundation of the discussion denoting how store layouts influence the purchases we make. An example of this is the layout of IKEA. Find out how they made us purchased their good out of impulse rather than needs. Aiman highlighted another characteristic of the layout of IKEA's restaurant and how it can be used to get parents to get their children those toys from IKEA. To add on, he talked about his study on the myth of targeted ads and if your phones are listening to you. Further down the line, Imran sparked an interesting discussion as to whether e-commerce resulted in more impulse purchasing than conventional in-store shopping trips. On the gaming side of things, Amri discussed how gamers justify split second decisions to spend on in-game purchases that made them feel good and gave them a sense of achievement.
