On this week's episode of The Bridge podcast, Dr. Fedrizzi-Wiliams sits down to talk with Dr. Michael Verber of the Verber Dental Group about the current state of the dental industry and Central Penn College's new dental programs! Dr. Michael Verber is the CEO & Chairman of the Verber Dental Group. He transitioned a solo practitioner dental office into Central Pennsylvania’s largest dental health care system using innovation and a culture of empowerment, kindness, and positivity. Verber is also the cofounder of an employee-owned media company and an accredited dental continuing education institute. Verber has a passion for education that has led him to a teach as a faculty member, key opinion leader, and clinical advisor with national dental academies and manufacturers. He has coached in the Cumberland Valley Basketball program and served on the Board of the CV Eagle Foundation, the CV Youth Basketball Association, the Central PA Chapter of the National MS Society, and the Harrisburg Area Dental Society. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Dickinson College and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry.

Welcome to the Bridge, a podcast all about resiliency and overcoming obstacles. I'm your host, Dr. Linda Fedrizzi-Williams, the president of Central Penn College. On today's podcast, we will be speaking to the President of the Harrisburg Senators, Kevin Kulp. Kevin is entering his sixteenth season as President of the Senators after joining the Senators in July of 2008. Earlier in his career, Kevin started his journey in professional baseball as an intern with the Charleston RiverDogs in 1995 in his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. After the internship concluded, he helped a start-up baseball franchise, the Delmarva Shorebirds, from 1996-1999. From there, he spent nine years working for the start-up Lexington Legends in Lexington, Kentucky, working as the Director of Sales from 1999-2004 and as the General Manager from 2004-2007 before coming to Harrisburg in 2008. Kevin attended the University of South Carolina, where he graduated in 1995. He met his wife, Renee, while working with the Shorebirds. Renee also worked for the team and moved to Lexington as the first two employees of the brand-new team in Lexington. Kevin and Renee have two children, a 21-year-old daughter named Jordan and a 17-year-old son named Brandon. They are currently residing in Mechanicsburg, PA. Today, we will discuss Kevin's rise in the baseball industry, including his time at the University of South Carolina, working with his first professional franchise, and the modern state of minor league baseball. On today's podcast, we will be speaking to the two key members of the corporate team of the Giant Company, Bree Frampton and Kelsey Sloan. Bree Frampton is the Recruitment Specialist at The GIANT Company. After graduating from Shippensburg University in 2015, she started her professional career as a Product Specialist at Sun Motor Cars BMW. She then moved into the Internet Sales Manager role, where she oversaw all internet leads, as well as the social media channels for Sun Motor Cars BMW. In 2019, she joined The GIANT Company as the Assistant Brand Manager of social media, overseeing community management for all GIANT and MARTIN’S social channels. In January of 2022, she decided to try something new, and accepted the role of Recruitment Specialist, where she manages the entire lifecycle of the recruiting process. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her husband, Mark, and dog, Teddy. Kelsey Sloan is the Manager of Talent Acquisition at The GIANT Company. She is responsible for developing creative sourcing strategies across the brand, overseeing recruitment, building early talent programs, and ensuring The GIANT Company's hiring practices align with the company's culture and team member promises. Kelsey's prior experience includes working as a field HR Business Partner where she helped launch the brand's first-ever Diversity Cohort and as a Recruitment Specialist where she led staffing for the Corporate Support Office. She's also held a variety of Human Resources positions in the non-profit sector prior to joining GIANT. She graduated from Elizabethtown College with a degree in Management and Marketing and currently serves as a Board Member for their International Business Program. Kelsey also works as a Dance Instructor and Competition Coach at One Broadway Dance Center and is currently pursuing her MBA. Today, we will discuss the employment crunch in the United States as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, how the Giant Company has handled these challenges, and the commitment to life-long learning exhibited by Bree and Kelsey. On today's podcast, we will be speaking to the Chief Experience Officer of Members First Federal Credit Union, Mike Wilson. Wilson, born in Baltimore, Maryland and attended Lewisburg High School, chose Central Penn College for higher education, receiving his bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Joining Members 1st in 2016, Wilson has moved up the ranks quickly, starting as a V-P in Relationship Management, to Chief Marketing Officer, to Chief Experience Officer. In his role, Mike provides leadership and direction for the credit union’s retail, operations, and customer service areas as well as public relations, marketing, community outreach, internal and external communications, and financial literacy. Mike has strong community ties to the southcentral Pennsylvania region as a graduate of the Leadership Harrisburg, Cumberland, Lancaster, and Lebanon programs, and is a lifelong advocate of the tenets of servant leadership. With a passion for people and entrepreneurial thinking, Mike has been recognized for his professional accomplishments with numerous business awards, including Emerging Business Leader of the Year for the Harrisburg Regional Chamber. Wilson is also the President of Members 1st Charitable Foundation. After graduating from Central Penn College, and he went on to earn his MBA from Eastern University and is also a graduate of the 2019 and 2021 Credit Union Executive Society “CEO Institutes” which were held at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, respectively.
