Welcome to Episode 13 of the Breaks-down Podcast! As always, we've got a random assortment of topics for your listening and/or viewing pleasure. We start it off with a little bit of housekeeping and discuss the latest news in sports, including the MLB All-Star Game, DeAndre Hopkins signing with the Titans, Carlos Alcaraz winning Wimbledon over Djokovic, the Jets being selected for Hard Knocks, Messi’s big unveiling for Inter Miami, a little bit of USMNT talk, and some soccer transfer news.
We then get into Adam and Tom's One Big Thing for the week. Adam's OBT is that Romelu Lukaku is awful and is his unofficial arch nemesis. In terms of total transfers, Lukaku is the most expensive player of all time and is NOT worth the cost.
Tom's OBT is the bad driving epidemic. Tom officially blows a gasket when he gets into his trials and tribulations on the road. The audacity of some people to use 2 spots for one car, truly sickening behavior.
For Episode 13’s Meat, we get into some MLB 2nd Half Storylines that we’re keeping our eyes on. We get into some statistical accomplishments such as Ohtani’s dominance, Acuñas continued greatness and how he can surpass the great Rickey Henderson, Arraez’s unlikely quest to hit .400. We also discuss the Braves organizational brilliance. The Twins and Guardians mediocrity, The Diamondbacks, Orioles, and Reds not so shocking success. The Yankees, Mets, Astros, and Dodgers are no longer MLB’s elite? We leave no stone unturned.
As always, we finish up with everyone's favorite segment, Random Awards and our newest segment Last Take Worst Take. Welcome to Episode 12 of the Breaks-down Podcast! As always, we've got a random assortment of topics for your listening and/or viewing pleasure. We start it off with a little bit of housekeeping and discuss the latest news in sports, including the Chiefsaholic saga and how a serial bank robber may be a part of Chiefs history forever.
We then get into Adam and Tom's One Big Thing for the week. Adam's OBT is the NBA's new in-season tournament and why he thinks people's opinions on it are wrong. As well as why it WILL impact players' legacies. Tom's OBT the future of baseball, and MLB's failure to market its players. Tom offers some fixes and weighs the pros and cons. Side Note: It's ridiculous that the Home Run Derby was on a Monday and the All-Star Game was on a Tuesday. Someone in the scheduling department needs a new job.
And now, for a dose of nostalgia - we've got a draft of the coolest sports video games covers. We'll be waxing nostalgic on the classic covers and our personal experiences with these games growing up. From Backyard Baseball, NBA 2K9, and Madden 97, to the challenge of Fight Night Round 4, it's sure to bring back memories.

Welcome to Episode 11 of the Breaks-down Podcast! In this episode, we have an exciting lineup of topics to discuss, covering everything from hot dogs to ESPN Layoffs to NBA Free Agency.
First up, we do a little housekeeping and get into Domingo German's perfect game and the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Competition. We discuss Joey Chestnut suckin' down some hot dogs, Kobiyashi, and the bowler hat man who was getting everyone hype. Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Competition is must see TV, it's downright disgusting and sometimes hard to watch, but still, it's incredible. We finish up housekeeping with a little bit of USMNT and soccer chat about the latest transfer market news.
Next, we discuss the downfall of ESPN, the future of sports TV, and the recent layoffs at ESPN, a topic that has been making headlines in the sports broadcasting industry. We get into who we think is untouchable even though ESPN claims there are no "sacrificial lambs". SVP, Stephen A, Wilbon, and Pat McAfee are all untouchable and that's just scratching the surface.
Next up, is an NBA Free Agency Buy, Sell, or Hold. We touch on the major moves that have reshaped the landscape of THIS LEAGUE. We also discuss the rule changes that the NBA is testing out in Summer League, the flopping technical foul and the new challenge system.
As always, everyone's favorite segment, Random Awards. We give out the Like Mike Shoes Award, the Forgotten Unicorn Award, the John Collins Award, and the Junk Drawer Award. Maybe our most contentious award segment ever, as Tom and Adam were just nowhere close to being on the same page. Not even in the same book for some of this segment. Lastly, we finish up with some NBA Jersey Sales Trivia.
Join us for Episode 11 of the Breaks-down Podcast as we break down these captivating topics and provide our expert insights. Don't miss out on the latest sports news, analysis, and trivia. Like, Review, Comment, Subscribe, Etc. Enjoy Episode 11 of The Breaks-down.
