The Book Place
Mercy and Salem
Two Australian sisters chatting about books, reading and what’s bringing us joy right now
Ep 34: The One Where We Say Goodbye
Today we hang up the microphone after a wonderful year of podcasting. We started this project in the middle of the COVID lockdown thinking maybe we'd get to 10 episodes. 34 episodes and over a year later, we were really flying by the seat of our pants most of the time, but what a ride! We have absolutely loved chatting books, reading and what's bringing us joy. But what we've loved most is hearing from and connecting with readers all over Australia, and a couple overseas (crazy!). So thankyou, thankyou, thankyou! We are still on Instagram @thebookplace.pod and you never know, we may pop back in your ears sometime in the future. But for now, happy listening :) Mercy's Current Reads  - The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth  - The Only Plane in the Sky by Garrett M. Graff  - Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand Salem's Current Reads  - Know My Name by Chanel Miller  - The Rose Code by Kate Quinn

Salem shares a 5 star read for her from December. Rich language and great character development. Sale may have even shed a happy tear or two at the end a rarity for her! A fantastic read. Highly recommend.
