Next up we speak with musical artist Lauren Minear and listen to her latest HIT song, 'Invisible Women' off of her EP of the same name.

Lauren Minear announces the release of her debut album, Invisible Woman, which dropped on October 15, 2022. Her singles from the album, “Soul Tied” and “Last Generation,” are out now on all music streaming platforms.

Produced with a number of collaborators, Minear’s new album consists of 11 songs that she wrote while struggling with postpartum depression during the height of the pandemic. To create the album, Minear worked with multiple producers that she met virtually through an online network, The Online Recording Studio (TORS). One of her collaborators was UK producer Dan Weeks at WWW Studios in London who produced "Soul Tied", "Last Generation", "Too Much Of You", "Heartbroken" and also mastered all of the tracks on the album.

The artist also collaborated with award-winning songwriter, Grace Askew (The Voice, Season 4) on the last track on the album, “The Unknown.” Minear recorded the song as a solo acoustic in her home studio (guest room), and had Weeks mix and master the track.

Minear and Weeks also worked together to expand her sound from an Americana/folk style to a more distinctive soulful, lyric-driven indie pop sound that she has today.

In addition, Minear worked with NYC music producer, composer, mixing engineer, and guitarist Dan Barracuda as a producer and mixer on a number of the tracks. She also brought on guitarist and producer Cory Clark to produce her track, "Long Way Down."

Minear produced one track, "Mothers", herself. She hired strings arranger Stevie Blacke and guitarist Cory Clark to track the instrumental parts. She recruited two close friends who also had babies during the pandemic to sing background vocals.
