Loving this shows guests!! For some constructive feedback if the hosts read these… Please be more cautious not to interject and talk over the guests. Even the laughs, the “mm hmm” “yeah” “oh” is so distracting and can make it really hard to hear guests with remote recordings. I really respect the hosts’ backgrounds and what they bring to the industry but I don’t think I can stay with the podcast with the lack of podcast/interview etiquette :/

Love the guests! The hosts need to let the guests finish their thought. Please stop jumping in and interrupting every single time they speak. I want to hear what your GUESTS have to say. It’s such great content and I love to hear the personal stories of your guests, please let them tell their story❤️

The castor oil for inducing labor is not some esoteric or unfounded claim. When I was living in Germany for 5 years during which time I had 2 children, the university hospital in Hamburg (so again, a research institute, not some esoteric place) gave a castor oil drink to women past their due date. I was 7 days past my due date, given a castor oil “smoothie” then put in a room to relax and wait. Within the hour, I was in labor and had a baby!

Really thought this would be a waste of time but they ask great questions in such a girl talk fashion, making it an easy listen while learning a lot about clean beauty. I also really like Jean’s personality! Very down to earth.

This was an awesome interview. Jimena is fascinating. Can’t wait to travel again so that I can have my brows done by this artist.

“Super” “It’s so good, so good” Ugh.......

Used to enjoy this podcast when it was about beauty, and I appreciate exploring different definitions of beauty and different cultures. But when guests come on to promote their SJW beliefs and that they’ve been raised in an “oppressive” society, I tune out. Please visit countries of true oppression, South Korea for one, before speaking of your own oppression. Then be thankful that you even have the freedom to complain about disparity.

These women don’t sound natural at all. I turned it off after less than 5 minutes. I just can’t. There are plenty of podcasts out there regarding Beauty that are more enjoyable to listen to. My favorite is Fat Mascara (no affiliation) where it feels like you are just discussing make-up with friends.

Goop needs to clone Elise. That’s what an intelligent and informed podcast host sounds like. She’s brilliant. These two women always seem uninformed. Too much nonsensical babbling, not enough knowledge.

This podcast could be five stars if the hosts would stop interrupting the guests. These guests have so much helpful and informative information to provide and they keep getting interrupted. It’s super annoying. Please stop!

The hosts ? Seriously ? Sound like two women who peaked in college and have zero cerebral drive or information to continued to The listeners. Big waist of listening time

This is the best! I work for a company that sells clean beauty products, many from brands started by people in this podcast. I tune in both for work and personal enjoyment and share with my coworkers. I love hearing from the people who started this clean beauty movement and truly rely on their opinions and tips. We need more please, especially right now when all we hear about it Covid!

But the host is annoying

Like many other reviews here have said, I love hearing from the guests. However the hosts of the show don’t provide much value and spend way too much time recapping the interview. The show also lacks consistency. They dropped off randomly in the fall without saying anything, came back in the winter randomly and then dropped off again. It makes it tough as a listener to want to stick with it. It it weren’t for the interesting guests that sometimes come on, I wouldn’t give this another shot.

I had such high hopes for this pod! I’ve been impressed with the high level production value of many Goop projects- cookbooks, Netflix, retail experience etc. I’ve also followed one of the hosts, since her days at Lucky- Jean Godfrey June always has practical & applicable beauty advice. While I think her ‘favorite products’ (& mine! like the olio o osso balm, or rms luminizer) are still great, I’m disappointed at the overall tone and execution of this podcast. The intro doesn’t provide insight into the next guest, rather it previews what the guest says without the benefit of the narrator or context. The ending is a similar review, but with such glowing accolades, it sounds more like an AD than a reflective moment. A more informed and thoughtful podcast structure would highlight the editors and guests without detracting from information- right now there is so much wasted air time it’s insulting. Time to pivot.

I am a big goop fan, products, podcasts, travel guides but this podcast needs help. The hosts are so busy complimenting each other and the guests and everything is the best or an omg!! Each podcast sounds like a commercial for the guest with the hosts gushing and exclaiming how life changing each product is. Their uptalk and valley girl tones drives me nuts and even though both hosts are accomplished in their fields it’s hard to listen and enjoy. Guests are interesting but need new hosts and different tone to make this a worthwhile listen. Sorry, I really wanted to love it

But I have to leave a negative review. I can’t listen to the hosts but love the content. Perhaps someone can be a great editor and lousy host for a podcast? When there is a guest I’m interested in listening to I try but never make it through the interview bc the hosts are downright painful. Pls reconsider the hosts.

Oh wow what a waste. Would love to hear what this amazing entrepreneur has to say but listening to these hosts is like listening to chalk on a blackboard. Please get hosts who can speak properly and know how to interview.

Sorry. I wish I could give this a better review but it’s painful to listen to these hosts interview the guests. I’m sure they’re great at their day jobs but honestly my kids could do a better job interviewing the guests. The hosts constantly interrupt, say “yeah” repeatedly, and are generally annoying to listen to. I’ve had to turn it off and I just can’t listen to another one. Please give your amazing guests more respect!! Find new hosts!!

Ok to listening

It took me three tries to start listening to the episodes because of the annoying hosts! They sound like, um, god, really?!, are the only words in their vernacular. “We, like, love you, omg, I can’t even, you’re a god, blah blah”. The guests are always amazing so they have kept me listening. Please show us common folk women that you can have a vocabulary and intellect and work at Goop!

Please stop interjecting during guests speaking. I think you think you are connecting and confirming their thoughts, but it’s actually rude and disruptive. Also, dive a little deeper with your questions. Like what is Normas routine, supplements and how did she cope with menopause etc.. There is a lot of us peri and menopausal women out here. Baby boomers are the largest demographic and you’re missing the boat/audience. And, it’s a cash boat because we have the most expendable income.

Hello ladies. I have not used latisse or any other lash enhancement product but I wanted to share that one of my pilates reformer clients did use latisse and switched to rubbing castor oil on her lashes with great results. Honestly I do not know where she got the tip to do so but her lashes are gorgeous as is she. Love your podcast! Karen A

I love all things Goop and have been so pleased with the quality of the brand’s other podcasts. I was thrilled for one devoted to beauty, but am incredibly disappointed. The hosts sound wildly unprepared for the interviews, love talking about themselves at length, say insane things such as “have you ever looked at someone and thought they should get filler?” (there MUST be a more appropriate and intellectual way to bring up this point), and spend the time at the end regurgitating all the information the expert already provided. There are other beauty-focused podcasts with smarter and more articulate hosts.

Sound like high school valley girls who cannot articulate. It’s almost painful to listen to their banter.

Great content but hosts aren’t so great. They say “like” way too much and don’t seem super informed. Love GOOP but please reevaluate your hosting choices. There must be more articulate people within your company to host.

I’m a total beauty junkie and love all things goop. However, after several tries with this one, I turn it off after a few minutes because of the hosts. They should not be hosting a podcast. One of them sounds like a Valley Girl with very few words other than “yah”, “like” and “omg” and the other always sound unsure of herself, like she is looking for someone to validate what she is saying. It is really painful. The introductions are way too long and I’m already annoyed before they even get to their guests. This has so much potential, but perhaps these two ladies should stay with written words and let someone host who can conduct a professional conversation? Sorry, but I have to stop listening to this one.

I couldn't even make it through the intro to the episode I downloaded. First impressions and all that. So painful to listen to the hosts- unfortunate because there may have been some guest content of interest.

I just discovered this podcast and it is amazing. I am a total beauty junkie, so it is not good for the bottom line. But the content is awesome. And I love learning more about some of the founders of these amazing clean beauty companies. I disagree with the review about the hosts. I think they are great. Feels like I am the fly on the wall of good friends talking.

I’m a huge fan of Goop and the original Goop podcast so I feel bad leaving a negative review. I was so excited to listen to this podcast as a beauty junkie. The content is on point and the guests are amazing by the hosts are just not good interviewers at all. I’m sorry ladies I’m sure they are amazing as editors. Being a personality is not for everyone. Surprised there wasn’t a focus group of this before it launched eek. Leaving a candid review in hopes this show can improve. X

Cannot, cannot take in the information with the “Valley Girl” OMG voice and sheer Elitist attitude with everything. Canceled the podcast once before and then wanted to listen to the latest guest from Germany but I was almost gagging through the whole thing. Cannot do this. 😬

This is the most woooowoooo whittttteeee podcast I can’t even believe it. It wasn’t as bad before the hiatus but this pod with the oil lady is unhinged. Absolutely unhinged.

I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by how wonderful this podcast and its interviews are! The hosts are very thoughtful and I like that several of the interviews have gone deeper than surface beauty. Now that I’m caught up I’ve realized there hasn’t been a new episode since September, which makes me quite sad! I hope they release some new episodes soon, even if they are just biweekly!

Interested in the content and was very excited for the podcast, but the hosts are annoying and distract from the guests.
