We were able to capture the true essence of our healing circle as The Beast Within hosted our annual Survivor Sister Brunch where we celebrate another year of surviving and thriving. The vibes are always dope each and every year but this year, everybody got a little more transparent and ironically, our vulnerability became our strength. As we shared our survival stories of domestic violence, tears were being shed and hugs went all around the room. We hope that this audio can help anybody going through it or have gone through it to understand that you are not alone and we are here, ready to welcome you into our sisterhood with open arms. 

Keep in mind that we did not record the entire conversation being that we wanted everyone to be comfortable with sharing their stories so we chopped up the audio. 

STATS:
- 20 people per minute are physically abused (USA)
- 1 in 4 women suffer severe intimate partner violence
- 1 in 7 women have been stalked
- There are 20K phone calls a day to DV hotlines nationwide
- 40 percent of DV are not reported.
- Since covid, DV has increased by over 40 percent.
