Welcome to BackBeat’s first episode of 2021! In this one we are out in the field, on-site at Stay Gold in Brunswick for the Teenage Joans / TOWNS co-headliner, chatting to them about all things tour, new releases, crazy Adelaide stories, and their Aussie faves.Due to being recorded on-site at the actual venue right before their show, there is a bit of background noise, mostly music from the front bar in Ollies Pizza Parlour (check it out, amaaazing food), but hopefully it’s not too bad post-edit. Be sure to check out both of these amazing Adelaide duos doing amazing things and keep your ears and eyes peeled for a super cool next ep!-J + G xo

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Backbeat Podcast! In this episode we chat with Cath Haridy. Cath is the executive director of the Association of Artist Managers, and is also an artists manager herself for her own management company. She is an ambassador for APRA/AMCOS and Support Act and a member of the board for Music Victoria.
We talk all about supporting womxn in the industry, the two fantastic new programs coming from the AAM (Association of Artist Managers). The AAM has announced two mentor programs, one for womxn, and one for Victorians. These are two groups who have been adversely affected by the pandemic, so giving those managers access to this mentor program is a real boost.
