The British historian John Glubb famously claimed that the average lifespan of an empire is 250 years. In his work "The Fate of Empires and Search for Survival," Glubb lays out several key factors like mass immigration that regularly contribute to imperial decline. As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, it makes sense to stop and consider how many of these factors are impacting our country and what can be done to address them.
