Reports of the demise of wokeness have been greatly exaggerated. Despite the victory of Donald Trump and Republicans in the last election, many Democrat state legislatures are pushing on with the radical progressive agenda. The latest legislation out of Colorado would strip parents of their rights if their child is declared transgender and criminalize the use of correct names and pronouns by businesses. A violent attack at a high school track meet has gained national attention after Karmelo Anthony allegedly stabbed fellow student Austin Metcalf to death. Metcalf's father, Jeff, issued a public statement of forgiveness for Anthony, despite the alleged murderer showing no remorse. Many people have also noted the racial dynamic between Anthony, who is black, and Austin, who was white, but Jeff Metcalf has encouraged the public to ignore this aspect of the attack.
