John Filander has been a fixture in the Iron Range skiing community for over half a century. From being at the center of nearly every ski race held in northeastern Minnesota, (both Nordic and Alpine) to an official at the Olympics and a competitive freestyle skier in the 70s (yes, he skied ballet) and ski bumming through the west, John has done it all.
