In 2015, Starve Ups cofounder John Friess joined existing Starve Ups membership company Arcimoto, designer and manufacturer of the Fun Utility Vehicle (FUV). Arcimoto garnered its first venture investment from the legendary Bill Hambrecht, first met at the Starve Ups Venture Community I event, and W.R. Hambrecht + Co. had their sights on taking the company public. Since joining, John has worked with the company to build its strategic partnership plans and brand position in the electric vehicle marketplace. Today, John continues to consult with the management team at Arcimoto on brand building, strategic partnerships, and business development.

Joe started at Arcimoto by helping create the 8 prototype generations that lead to the first pre-production pilot.
He has assisted the founder in fundraising operations and helped create the first production line. He has also been the customer experience manager as well as working on purchasing and procurement. Joe played a role in the creation of the CX department and had the honor of helping promote the second woman in Arcimoto history to Director level. Additionally he has served as the liaison between product support, marketing, and CX.
He is now an employee coach, working to ensure each of Arcimoto's 250+ employees are reaching their full potential by removing obstacles and uplifting new initiatives that could benefit the company. In effect amplifying 250 employees by helping break down barriers in communication and building relationships to take Arcimoto into the future.

Luke Workman leads research and development at Electric Goddess. A battery consultant working with Arcimoto to create the safest and most efficient batteries possible for our vehicles. Luke is also the Chief Battery Scientist at Redivivus, a company working to recycle electric vehicle batteries. Previously Luke worked on cell recycling at cell manufacturers in Asia which made him a veteran in the emerging industry. Today he utilizes this niche skill set and industry knowledge to develop innovative technology for Redivivus. Before working with Arcimoto via Electric Goddess and Redivivus, Luke created battery designs at Zero Motorcycles that significantly increased capacity and life of the vehicle while reducing manufacturing time and cost. Iterations of this design is used today as a benchmark in electrical vehicle concepts including aircrafts. Luke also co-developed the cooling design of industry leading high efficiency brushless traction motors. Once a successful production modern battery pack design was achieved, he traveled the world as a freelancer for the advancement of the energy storage industry. During this time, Luke began freelance consulting various groups and projects including Airbus, Joby Aviation, Alphabet, and more. Luke appears on the 4th episode of the Arcimoto Podcast to share what he is currently excited about in the field of battery technology, and why he decided to uplift and aid Arcimoto in the pursuit of it's vision with the help of his specialized skill set.
