Fallon and Harrison receive a card from Harrison’s nan on their wedding anniversary. Fallon points out Harrison should tell her they’ve split up, sooner rather than later. Meanwhile he has a tricky day ahead of him with Lynda and Robert. Fallon wishes him well.Jolene goes with Fallon to see the Cruck Barn. However the door key sticks and Fallon needs to call Lily for help. Lily’s excited for Fallon’s new job at Lower Loxley. Jolene’s impressed with the Cruck Barn and wonders whether Fallon would consider her for teaching at the singing workshops. Fallon explains awkwardly that her teachers will need to be experienced; the courses are expensive and she needs them to do well. There’s a moment as Jolene realises she’s lost Fallon to this new role, before she admits that whilst missing her at the pub, she’ll work it out. Fallon feels Lower Loxley is where she needs to be right now. Lily impresses Harrison by pinpointing some CCTV evidence on a shady character seen near Grey Gables. Harrison reckons she has the golden touch. Lily sympathises over his split with Fallon. Lynda signs the paperwork to relinquish Monty. Harrison takes her fingerprints as she accepts a conditional caution. Harrison admires her dignity. Afterwards exhausted Lynda and Robert agree kind Harrison is a good friend to them. They speculate regarding Monty’s future. Not wanting to revisit the unthinkable, they turn their attention to their busy guest list. They resolve to get through their ordeal by focusing on hard work, together.

Akram’s excited for what he might enter in the Flower & Produce Show, and invites Khalil to come to the allotment to help him choose. Khalil declines; he and Keira will be gaming instead. Azra and Akram agree Khalil isn’t himself, probably still affected by the situation with Lynda’s dog, Monty. They speculate that he might be feeling guilty about his rant at Brookfield last week. Azra resolves to go over there and apologise on Khalil’s behalf. Later she and Ruth chat about Pip and Stella’s wedding before Azra gently broaches the subject of the attack offers her apology for Khalil’s actions. Ruth tells her not to worry, brushing the incident with Khalil aside. She admits she’s still feeling shocked over the attack on the sheep. Azra sympathises, and they agree it’s a horrible situation for everyone. Meanwhile Khalil complains to Keira that his family is breathing down his neck, whilst admitting he’s having flashbacks to the images of the sheep. He loved Monty like a friend and can’t get his head round what he did. Keira suggests Azra might be able to help, but Khalil’s adamant his family mustn’t know he’s seen the pictures. They already worry too much about him. Later Azra and Akram agree it’s a relief how understanding Ruth and David were about Khalil. There’s an awkward moment for Keira when they quiz her about what might be bothering Khalil, but she successfully diverts them. They hope they’re worrying about nothing.

Amber is at Grange Farm trying to talk to Keira, who has been ignoring her messages. When the baby visibly moves, Keira is amazed by it and compares to an alien. Amber wants to only focus on the baby so she wants to sort out what happened with Brad and the fact Keira knows. Amber insists nothing really happened, and it was a bad time for her with George’s behaviour. Keira thought Amber was one of the cleverest people she knew but it turns out she’s just like everyone else. She won’t tell anyone, as she knows George would overreact, but makes Amber promise to not disappoint her again.At Ambridge Hall, Lynda and Robert are worrying over Monty when Khalil turns up to walk him. They’re forced to tell him the truth about the sheep attack. Khalil becomes agitated and insists that Monty wouldn’t hurt a fly. It’s a police matter now and they’ve got to wait to find out the resolution. Robert becomes upset when talking about possible options. Khalil rushes out to head to Brookfield, and Lynda is forced to chase after him, breaking the no-contact rule.At Brookfield, Ruth and David are chatting in the kitchen when Khalil storms in. David says they’re not allowed to talk about Monty but Khalil’s loud insistence that Monty is innocent makes Ruth snap and show Khalil pictures from the sheep attack. Khalil becomes overwhelmed at the images. Lynda arrives and comforts upset Khalil.

Harrison pops home for lunch and finds Fallon in the middle of domestic chores. She starts to point out to Harrison his share of the jobs, but before an argument can start Harrison receives an email from a Darrington letting agent with property rental options. They’re all small and expensive. Harrison declares they will just have to be pragmatic as he quotes the advice Alistair gave him. Freddie calls to question Fallon about her new job. He asks about the recruitment process and Fallon’s experience, making Fallon feel uneasy. Later at Lower Loxley, Fallon asks Elizabeth if Freddie is okay with Fallon working there. Elizabeth promises to have a word with him. Fallon vents to Elizabeth about the difficulties of her separation. Elizabeth catches Freddie in between online training and asks why he’s been quizzing Fallon. Freddie reckons Elizabeth could have employed him instead. He confesses he’s worried that he won’t inherit Lower Loxley until he’s 100 if he can’t prove himself capable. Anna is at Brookfield, venting about Richard’s memorial service to sympathetic David. She needs somewhere to catch up on her cases but is avoiding the Tearoom after yesterday. David suggests The Orangery to Anna, who’s grateful for his suggestion. Harrison arrives at Brookfield to give an update on the sheep attack. David can’t quite wrap his head around Monty being responsible. Harrison explains one option is that Monty could go home if David and Ruth are prepared to accept a community resolution order.

Helping out at Glebe cottage, Alan is changing a lightbulb for Carol. She admires his new haircut, stating Chelsea has made him on trend. They talk about Carol’s unpopular scavenger hunt, and when Alan tries to suggest the clues were tricky, he is ignored. Alan says they won’t have reached the bell repair target. Alan asks when Anna will be arriving for Richard’s blessing. Carol says she can’t make it. Alan offers to reschedule but Carol refuses. Carol asks for another favour; she is struggling with her banking app, and as Alan was an accountant could he help? She hands him her phone in order to cancel some donations.Lily is in the Tearoom looking forward to Natasha’s lemonade. Anna and Lily chat through cake options, but when Anna goes to leave she bumps into Amber, spilling lemonade down her. Anna gives some money to Lily and Amber to buy them an apology cake. Amber and Lily end up chatting about Lily’s trip to Australia. Lily says she would go back in a heartbeat but then she’d want to stay forever. Lily asks about Amber’s pregnancy and the baby. Alan and Carol are in the garden with Alan leading the memorial for Richard when Anna arrives at Glebe. Anna is shocked that her mum was doing the memorial without her, especially as it was her idea. Alan learns that Carol didn’t tell Anna about the planned memorial. Carol says how helpful Alan’s been, and reveals to horrified Anna that he’s helped with her banking app.

In the village shop, Alistair and Harrison are looking for biscuits to improve their bad days. Alistair tells Harrison he’s sorry to hear of his and Fallon’s separation and offers advice and a chat if Harrison would like one. At the Tearoom, Alistair recounts his and Shula’s separation. He says there is life after divorce and that even he and Shula are friends again. Lynda and Robert recount yesterday’s events to Lilian who’s shocked. Lynda makes some barbed comments to Robert, saying he did nothing to stop them taking Monty. Robert goes to answer the phone and Lilian asks Lynda to be fair to Robert. They are both missing Monty. Lynda thinks Robert’s didn’t defend Monty, who must be innocent. Lynda asks Alistair for a character reference as proof the police have made a mistake with Monty. Alistair explains he was there after the sheep attack and had to euthanise some of the injured. Lynda pushes him to vouch for Monty, but Alistair argues that there’s not a single dog he could vouch for as all dogs are capable of attacking livestock. Lynda returns to Ambridge Hall and Robert asks her to sit down. He’s got through to the B&B guests from that day, and the children saw Monty coming in through the back gate with blood on him. They cleaned him to avoid getting him in trouble. Robert believes it might have been Monty behind the attack, and calls Harrison to tell him the news. They ask about what happens next so that they can have Monty back home.

Harrison and Fallon struggle to divide household chores between them as Harrison says it’s not his turn to cook, whilst Fallon insists it’s not her turn to go to the shop. Both argue they’re busy with their new jobs. Elizabeth is giving Fallon a tour of the gallery at Lower Loxley when Freddie comes to ask if Elizabeth is free. Not realising Elizabeth is in a meeting with Fallon, Freddie says she’s able to have lunch with him. Elizabeth explains that Fallon is the new Programme Manager and she’s busy. When Freddie says he didn’t know about the role, Elizabeth suggests that Freddie must have not been listening. Later in the Orangery, Freddie asks his mum about Fallon’s new role, but Elizabeth leaves him to greet a client. Lynda and Robert talk about the fete whilst gardening when Harrison arrives asking to have a word. The DNA confirms it was Monty who attacked the Brookfield sheep. Robert and Lynda become defensive, pointing out Monty has never done anything of the sort before. When asked for their whereabouts on the day of the attack, they’re able to recount their own and Monty’s actions. Their B & B guests from that day saw nothing out of place either. Lynda says it must be mistaken identity. Harrison explains Monty will be taken into police kennels today. Robert collects toys and treats whilst Lynda becomes emotional. Harrison suggests they say goodbye, and Robert insists they must stay calm for Monty. Lynda’s quietly distraught.

It’s the day of the village fete. Chelsea’s upset over the cancelled launch of the horsebox salon. Whilst Amber donated styling tools, she has nothing to cut hair. Lilian arrives and promises to play fairy godmother. Keira says they need to wait for Khalil so they can hide in the horsebox to avoid the entrance fee. Lilian later arrives with a loan from Fabrice of everything Chelsea needs; Chelsea’s put too much effort into the horsebox for it to fall at the first hurdle. The big launch is back on! Keira asks Lilian how she persuaded Fabrice, and Lilian admits she’s agreed to be the face of his next promotional campaign. Lynda accosts Alan over his entrance fee, trying to persuade him to drop it. Alan insists it’s not ‘his’ entrance fee and is raising funds for the Church bell. They agree to drop the price. A soaked Alan is suffering from the queue at ‘Dunk the Vicar’, as Lynda brings him a strong coffee and an update. Carol’s scavenger hunt clues are too obscure, leading people to abandon it in favour of the beer tent. Monty refuses to leave the car, so Robert takes him home. When Khalil comes to enter him into the Pets Ring, Robert persuades Khalil to enter Ruby instead to help Lilian. When Alan tries to hide in the horsebox Khalil insists he must have a haircut to stay. As Chelsea is grabbing lunch, Khalil starts to have a go before Keira can stop him. Chelsea arrives back to save the haircut, giving Alan a new look.

Finding themselves with a couples’ counselling appointment that Harrison and Fallon rejected, Kenton and Jolene playfully decide to attend. To their surprise, the session reveals a lot about their relationship. They miss being more free – the travel and the music. They are stuck in a rut and don’t want that. It’s time to shake things up a bit! George goes back to the hospital, where a hairline wrist fracture is discovered. He’ll be in a cast for six weeks and off work a further six. This is terrible timing for them both as well as Esme. Returning his phone charger, Keira visits Brad. She is upfront with her big question – is he over Amber? He can’t deny it and confesses he’s had a crush, in the past. But realising how good Amber and George are together, and how grown up their situation is, he knows he can’t compete. As he stumbles on his meaning, Keira catches on to something more – did he sleep with Amber? Defending himself, he admits that they’d kissed on New Year’s Eve and Keira furiously runs off. Finding her later in her secret hiding place, George tries to get Keira to reveal what’s happened, but she decides to cover the truth. Meanwhile in The Bull, Amber convinces Brad to tell her what he knows about Keira. He tells her it was truly an accident – but that he’s told Keira about the kiss. Amber is stunned. She loves George! How could Brad do that, and what if George finds out?
