Monsters - Season Three, Episode Seventeen: “Leavings,” another mystery set amid the bureaucracy of city government, this time with Frankensteins instead of Yetis.

Black Mirror - Season Three, Episode Two: “Playtest,” a VR twist on a classic haunted house story that validates everything I thought about this trite, over-rated show going into it.

And stay tuned for The Expansionist, where I treat the episodes I reviewed as failed backdoor pilots and imagine the full series that might have been, in this case a police procedural about zombie cops built from the bodies of the criminals they face, and a weekly exploration of virtual reality nightmare worlds so successful they already tried it, and cancelled it after one season.
