It's great to be back in the podcast seat! It's been a while, so I'm delighted to have been joined by someone who I've been desperate to speak to for so long.Kat and I talk about a diagnosis of Triple negative breast cancer, treatment and we touch slightly on fertility! A subject that both Kat and I feel strongly about. Kat is a great guest, brings lots of hints and tips to those going through treatment.A pleasure to sit down with and add into this library of experiences

This week's episode is slightly different, in that Hayley sits down with Caroline, a Mammographer! Caroline gives insight and statistics into what a Mammogram is and very importantly, what to expect in your appointment! You will be staggered with the statistics of people not attending their Mammograms. The stigma needs to be removed and we need to talk about the benefits of attending, instead of a few minutes of discomfort!
Take a listen, and let us know what you learn!

This week Hayley sits down to talk with Kel Lambert. Kel talks about the inconvenience of a cancer diagnosis, specifically when relating to her normal life with 2 autistic children to think about. Hayley has known Kel for several years, so this sounds like a chat between friends! A little bit of dark humour, but also an honest reflection of Kel's cancer diagnosis. Kel also offers some tips on managing the side effects of Chemotherapy!
This one has laughter and realness sprinkled all the way through!

Before writing too much on the write up, Alicja had a few extra thank you's to share with everyone:
"I will always be grateful to all the wonderful people who carried me through this journey. From friends and family, my medical team to complete strangers and the online Breast Cancer community. Too many names to mention, but I would like to take this opportunity to dedicate this podcast to my husband and children, my parents-in-law and my dear friend Vero, for their love and support. Thank you so much"

This week, Hayley sits down with....herself! That's right, Hayley decided that this week needed some time to pause and reflect.
Hayley reflects on the podcast itself, about different treatments that we have both heard about, but also that Hayley has researched herself, on placed like Breast Cancer Now.
Give this a listen, you won't regret it!

Hayley sits down and has a chat with Louise, who is not only taking on London Marathon this coming weekend, but she is doing it topless! Louise is raising awareness to promote the need for research around Lobular Breast Cancer. Her diagnosis was a shock to her, following a Mammogram only 3 weeks earlier being clear! Lobular Breast cancer does not show as a mass, which can make it difficult to detect.
Have a listen into Louise's diagnosis and everything she is doing to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.
