The Amy Eagan Show continues from the University of New Mexico.Join Coach Eagan as she discusses her move to UNM and some of the players joining her from the Midwest.  We compare the Mountain West Conference with the Ohio Valley conference and this week's media reports of a 76-team NCAA tournament as early as 2027.The Show will continue with periodic podcasts during the summer and pre-season and then will move to weekly podcasts as the 2026-2027 season kicks off.

In this week's podcast, Coach Eagan reviews two important home wins as her squad works to secure a double-bye in the OVC tournament in Evansville, IN during the first week of March.She also shared her teams Fall 2025 cume GPA of 3.5.  4 players reported grades of 4.0.Finally, Coach Eagan talked about the first ever Fashion Walk for her young women.  Working with Dr. Chajuana Trawick from Lindenwood's fashion program, the players will sport their own fashion tastes along with accessories provided by the LU fashion design students.  The players will be recorded as the enter Hyland arena a few hours before the 5:00 p.m. final home game of the year against Eastern Illinois University.

Coach Eagan reviews recent games against SIU-E and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.She also discusses how she gave her team some time to recover from a grueling stretch of 4 games in 7 days.With 6 games remaining in the OVC regular season, Coach Eagan talks about how she prepares her team for this final stretch before the OVC tournament.

Coach Eagan reviews the two road games at USI and Moorehead State.She notes how both Gracie Kelsey and Aleshia Jones made some big plays during the final minute of the USI game.This week the Lions host SIUE on Tuesday night and travel to Little Rock AR for a Thursday night game.

Coach Eagan takes us through where her team is at the half-way point of the conference season.It includes a review of the 17 straight free throws here team made of the past two games.She also steps listeners through the details of what it is like to take an NCAA DI women's basketball team on the road for 2 games.  It is an important perspective to have for 18–22-year-old student athletes.

Coach Eagan talks about the challenges of a long college basketball season with some exceptional wisdom.  We also look at recent games including the January 6th game at SIU-Edwardsville and the press-breaking success her team has had. We also revisit her focus on 'fresh legs' for her players as the season progresses.  To date, none of the LU players has logged even 30 minutes per game on average.  Coach also discusses the long-term potential for players Anna McCarn and Valerie Norwood; along with how Brooke Coffey and Ellie Brueggemann can 'take it to the next level'.  This Saturday the University of Arkansas Little Rock comes to St. Charles for a 1:00 p.m. start.
