This is one of the best podcasts around
I don’t think words can truly express how much I love this podcast. First, the hosts are delightful, intelligent, and so so funny. Second, this podcast has changed the way I watch TV! I’m a much more critical TV watcher now AND I now have the vocabulary to talk about TV critically. Third, listening to this podcast has gotten me through several tough periods in my life. If I’m feeling awful or going through something, all I have to do is turn this podcast on and I’m able to forget my worries for a bit. The pod is on a hiatus right now, but I carry on with hope that it will one day be revived! In the meantime, I have over 100 episodes to keep me company, educate me, and make me laugh out loud.

Musical episodes
Hello ampie gang I am here to share a theory that everyone must know. The only reason the legacies musical episode happened was because Julie Plec really wanted to do a musical episode for years but couldn’t before because Paul would quit if there was a musical episode during the tvd and didn’t during Originals because she either had the awareness that it would be really weird (could you imagine Klaus, Cami, Gerald, or, Kol singing???) or everyone else stopped her. Legacies is the only show to do a musical episode post Riverdale killing the musical episode ( another topic for another day ) so it makes sense that Julie would be the one to have the courage to do it. I mean it would have been great for Originals to have a musical episode just for Klaus to have a song about everyone conspiring against him. This theory is based on a gut feeling.

Amped for Ampire Diaries
Found y'all through Angel on Top, needed more LaToya & Morgan media discussions in my life. Your love for TVD inspired me to start watching the show, but it turns out I find it unwatchable. I’m sorry my brain isn’t big enough for perfect television. I’m still going to continue to enjoy listening to every episode of your podcasts

Ugh
So they’ve just fully abandoned the podcast, huh?

Hard to follow so far
Still new but in early episodes so far, they hop around so much it’s hard to follow for people new to TVD, so much giggling like an adolescent group of kids, and some spoilers. I’ll definitely update my review if I feel differently after a few more episodes.

I’ve been missing out
I followed these hosts from Angel On Top. Truth be told I found them late and binged much of it. Dont agree with much of their takes but that is ok. They are well informed and funny. I’ve since caught up to this podcast.. and my 2 complaints are, the inconsistency of episodes. They go a long time in between episodes. And boy corner is my favorite takes and I wish there were more!

Look what you made me do
Since October I’ve binged all TVD episodes and have gotten emotionally attached to my new podcast friends. So much so that now I have to do something I promised I never would, watch The Originals… Just so I can enjoy more 30 rock and new girl references, bonks, cut by plugs, boy corners, and discussions of other movies and shows Jill hasn’t seen. Thank you all for creating a wonderful podcast and bringing brilliant insights to a sometimes less than brilliant show.

Even Better than Buffering
Morgan, LaToya, and Jill give us all the best parts of a successful podcast: great bits, a descriptive walkthrough of each episodes, great bits, multiple perspectives of backgrounds and horniness, great bits, and a wonderful conversation style that feels inclusive. Who knew there was a moon landing? Multiple characters fighting over the D. No thoughts, head empee. D-d-d-d-d-d-dead wife. The little boy corner. And the most comical bonks ever. That short little Jenny with her little jar and her ex Kristin could never.

The best podcast you’ll ever listen to.
The current hellscape that is the media led to breaks from news and socials, but I found salvation in the glorious universe that is the Ampire diaries podcast. LaToya, Morgan and Jill provide a safe haven of endless joy, especially because they don't make me engage with my device to skip past commercials. These women are creative, talented and hilarious. I want their take on all shows and movies, which is why after I binged their entire main feed since October, I downloaded Patreon and Discord and made my best investment of 2024, Vampire membership. Their references are perfect. I feel so seen by mentions of SNL's Marble Columns/ Chrystal Chandeliers, how Cami is Jenna Maroney, Phoebe and Cole as a definitive sexual awakening, Niece Denise and all the She's All That jokes, in honor of #1 crush Jo - be silent, be still. No one does better impressions. You'll find yourself hopelessly romanced by their fluent Italian, French & Australian and candle lit bean dinners. When our hosts are horned up by every permutation of hot people hooking up, I'm beguiled by their charms!! My Uber driver was probably wondering why I was smiling so big; they obviously hadn't yet heard Elizabeth Holmes by Amanda Seyfried by Morgan. This body (of work) is incredible. Every top tier filmmaker stole from TVD. Sometimes our crush is unquestionably a candelabra. Find out who really invented feminism by listening to all of LaToya, Morgan and Jill's ouvre. I'm going to the papers because I couldn't be more amped for this Bositive podcast!

That time Damon got football cancelled forever
AMPire Diaries is the most entertaining and hilarious listen in my podcast rotation. If you are a fan of the TVD universe, this pod is a MUST. I love seeing these shows through Jill’s newbie eyes, especially as a fellow rider of the Trevino Train. I laugh out loud in almost every episode as Morgan and Latoya call back to past jokes (Klaus’ mascara tears / Tyler and Elaina as BFFs are two all time favs). Shout out to Michael for Boy Corner, a segment classic. Keep podcasting, always and forever. And lastly, thank you to Rebecca Mikaelson for inventing feminism so we could have an all female podcast today.

I came for the hosts
I ran out of Angel On Top episodes, so I’m watching Vampire Diaries specifically to hear Latoya and Morgan talk about tv some more. They are hilarious and their chemistry is perfect. Thank you for a great podcast. P.S. - When Latoya sings, I LIVE.

Dear Diary: I AM a believer:
This podcast has everything: horny, chaotic bisexual energy, “Cut” by Plum, crushes, boy corner, and even hybrids! I came here from the Bufferingverse and started watching TVD specifically so I could listen to this podcast. I have to say I’m enjoying myself down to every last zoop, slurp, and chomp. Not only is TVD a super fun watch, but LaToya, Morgan, and Jill’s takes make me feel like I’m watching along with friends. I knew the risks, but I had to listen.

The pod that gave me a good lobotomy
My favorite pod for so many reasons: The deep literary thinking, the critical analysis, Latoya and Morgan’s spontaneous and beautiful singing, the jokes, Jill’s rankings, tasteful Fall Out Boy references, and so much more. So funny that I had to stop listening while at my old crusty job because I would cry while holding back my laughter. Thankfully I have a new gig where I can listen and laugh without restraint while listening through a second time. I pity any one star reviewer who has their humanity turned off. 100% enhanced my TVD experience. These ladies are the beans and I appreciate their contributions to society. Much Love, Marcella

I didn’t ask for this...
And everybody should. I had never watched TVD and literally watched the entire series (to be fair, it is bingeable brilliance) in order to hear more LaToya and Morgan (after meeting y’all over in AOT). And now that I’ve also met Jill (I’m not a stranger!), I’m more in love. You three are hilarious, fun, feral, and a true joy. Thanks for being you.

Ladies leave your friends at home…
And listen to this podcast! This show once made me laugh so hard I started crying in a CVS(I’m doing great!), someone please tell Rebekah Mikaelson about the moon landing! You guys are superstars and I would listen to a million episodes, but you don’t owe us anything and don’t listen to the entitled jerks. It’s ok to take a break! I mean, how dare you have lives outside of making new episodes of this podcast for me specifically, but ok, whatever. 🩷🩷🩷🩵

Unhappy listener
Love a podcast recorded during the pandemic that the hosts can barely release in any sort of timely fashion, and made a patroon to profit off fandom. Was fun, but they’re dragging this on and couldn’t even stick to the original premise of the show. Covering TVD and TO, but failing to take on Legacies because they need book club? And random movie reviews? Booooooooooooooooooo lazy ladies

The Ampie Queens!
I never write reviews, but I had to make sure to leave one for the literal voices in my head…the Ampie Queens! I stumbled across this podcast during possibly the toughest time of my life, and you all helped me find laughter again when I thought it wasn’t possible. I have been listening on an endless loop. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve listened through (more than 5 for sure) and I can’t say enough how funny, smart, and all around joy inducing these ladies are. Thank you for all of your insights, thoughtful criticisms, and most of all for your *giggles*

This podcast is not a prank
Or maybe it is, I’m not really sure. Regardless, it’s one of the funniest things I’ve experienced in a long time. I’m a big fan of Angel on Top and wanted more of LaToya and Morgan in my life, so I decided to at least try TVD. Having now binged all three shows and fully caught up on the podcast I’m currently re-listening because these ladies are hilarious and perfect. I love the great takes and insights on the shows, and TV in general at times. Plus Jill’s rankings are always a joy! All in all, this is a perfect podcast. I have no notes.

It’s giving beans
I started listening to this podcast a couple months ago and was shocked and horrified when I saw that I’m all caught up and now I have to wait for new episodes. This podcast has replaced all other podcasts in my rotation, I love it, eat your beans.

Relief Exists
I am very late to review this podcast. I have listened since the beginning and these lovely women have had me laughing or raging or horning through bad times and good. The Vampire Diaries is one of my favorite shows and I know No one personally who loves it like I do. All three podcasters bring their individual weirdness to the show. Their love each other comes through. They are honest and blunt when they need to be. LaToya is so knowledgeable and funny. Morgan is so sympathetic and full of energy and Jill is hilariously deranged. They all sort of are. In the best way! Keep laughing.

Laughed So Hard Almost Had to Pull Over
I love this pod. I am rewatching TVD and watching TO for the first time. My husband has never seen either so it’s fun to scream at the tv when a character comes up with a dumb plan and then hear the hosts of Ampire crack up about it just as much as us. Latoya’s WB knowledge rivals my own and Morgan’s impressions are amazing. I followed them over here from the Angel on Top pod (dear god @season5). And Jill is truly a wild card with the best deadpan delivery. She almost killed us when she tried to sell Press in the Battle of New Orleans ep. 10/10

this is the best
if i could i would rate this 10 stars out of 5. these girls genuinely make my day, allowing me to indulge in the discussions about the gorgeous show that is vampire diaries- no seriously none of my friends have watched tvd and it hurts. so thank you. this is the best rewatch podcast i have listened to and i have listened to a lot. these girls are absolutely gorgeous i love them so much. morgan… you are my spirit animal: speaking every thought which pops into your head- speak first think later- and i appreciate having someone else to relate to. jill… at first you were very quiet and it was very sad because when you did speak it was like drinking a sip of water after being dehydrated in a desert, but now you speak much more and i love it and everything you say feels very honest and raw. latoya… how can a human be so perfect-? need i say more? i love you guys. i’m in season 5 right now and im in my second watch of tvd and enzo just appeared and he genuinely warms my heart. okay bye! 100% recommend this pod

I’ve been brainwashed
This podcast has changed my life. Or more truthfully my opinion about half of the characters in TVD. I devoured the Buffering podcast, and as a loyal fan, i respected the feud between Buffering and Angel On Top and “refused” to listen to LaToya and Morgan. But when those ladies made a cameo on the live finale episode which i attended in Brooklyn, i knew i had to have more of these ladies in my life. When i discovered The AMPire Diaries, I knew it was meant to be! Thanks to LaToya, Morgan and the infinitely wise Jill, I did a 180 on Steve & Tyler and learned to appreciate the hilarity in season 5’s endless break up scenes. I am beyond excited to go through Season 6 with these hilarious women who make me laugh out loud in public.

Delightful addition to a guilty pleasure
I saw that the Vampire Diaries came to HBO but I wasn’t going to rewatch until I started listening to Ampire Diaries during the holidays while Angel on Top 5 was on break. However, their enthusiasm for the show got me and I’ve binged the first season while wrapping gifts and drinking hot toddies. I’ve adored the hosts from AoT and Jill is a great addition.

Obsessed!
Started listening in the middle of season 4 as I was rewatching and that’s where I was in the series. Immediately became obsessed and have now caught up. Not so patiently waiting for season 6 so I can watch and listen again. In the meantime I have started at the beginning of the podcast because I needed more. Love everything you women are doing. This is the hilarious/horny podcast of my dreams for my favorite show!

Big Simpin’ for the Ampire Diaries Pod
(This is a Jill-safe review) Thank god for a pro-Caroline, pro-Bonnie tvd pod. You guys help me get through all the mundane tasks like driving, cleaning, and exercising and I couldn’t do any of it without you all. From Jill’s fresh take on things, to LaToya calling everyone out and also making so many good jokes, Morgan’s excitement and also singing, and who could forget Boy Corner, this is a well-rounded podcast that makes me appreciate my favorite show even more and also makes me feel like I’m hanging out with friends. I also heard the real “big simpin” song in the wild yesterday and I immediately recognized it as big simpin’ but I could not tell you its real name so there’s that. Thanks for all you guys do!!

Thankful for the AMPies this season
Jill summed it up best when, under the influence of some wines, she said: “These ladies, seems like they’re great to hang out with. I want to be their friend.” That’s for dang sure! The chemistry among the hosts is, well, beautiful. They are stunning, hilarious, and horny. Listening to these 3 is reminiscent of the feeling I have while spending time with my closest girlfriends: safely unhinged, and deliriously happy. I started watching TVD last December just so I could listen to this podcast (I fell in love with LaToya and Morgan via ‘Angel on Top’). What a year it has been! Whenever I start longing for the D, I sublimate by putting the AMPies in my earbuds…and get horny eyes instead! I’ve got a full heart, a belly full of laughter, and a new notch on my nerd belt. I will fight anyone that clowns me for it! There are no risks. If you don’t enjoy listening to this podcast, you are not worthy! Thank you, Goddesses! I love you! xoxo, dubgyne

I found this podcast because i was rewatching tvd and was desperate for more tvd content. The ampire diaries pod did not disappoint and drew me in immediately. Ever since i started listening i have not been able to listen to anything else, not even my favorite go to podcasts. Every episode i somehow fall deeper and deeper and i find myself doing the bits in my own life and of course no one gets it. Apparently i did not know the risk, but i must keep listening. Really heightens watching TVD, and it rules
The cohosts have such chemistry, they achieve the best podcast feeling: that I'm hanging out with my friends listening to them discuss something they care about. I badly want a supercut of Morgan saying "and it rules" or "it's *SO* sad" then prompting Jill for reaction. Even when they're taking the show seriously, Jill, LaToya, and Morgan never take themselves too seriously; I often crack up when listening. (P.S.A. for my fellow guys: Watch Vampire Diaries! If only so you can enjoy this great podcast.) Top 5 Bits: 5-LaToya's and Morgan's trepidation each time they look for a Jill React 4-Jill Rankings (and the constant love for boys with the most feelings) 3-Cut by Plum by Morgan 2-Boy Corner 1-Wanting the D

Came from Angel on Top, can’t go back
Binging this show FOR these folks. Connecting to my early vampire fan girl roots (yes I was 12 I believed Edward Cullen was real and coming to sweep me off my feet). I never knew I’d watch this show, much less in my mid to late 20s. All three ladies (and Michael) bring their own humor and thoughts. Currently finishing Season 4 and this podcast helps me regulate my emotions and stay in reality. Except when I start getting emotional about the actors themselves. My ONLY critique is that: how have we not discussed DAMON and KLAUS aka Kamon or Daus‽ Stephan acknowledges some “villain bonding” but come on…. One wants to be worshipped and not judged and the other wants to be a worshipper and get to wreak havoc without accountability. I saw it when D calls T and K answers DELIGHTED to join for a quest. All my character views do 180s slightly around the same time as Jill. It’s WILD out here and this podcast is a paddle (or booze to cut the cravings or at least break up episodes).

Babies are parasites
I finished the Vampire Diaries and caught up w the podcast, I knew the risks but I had to watch The Originals. I’m actually really enjoying it, even Cami - especially as they give her a storyline outside of a placeholder love triangle. I’m sure the show would be less enjoyable if I had to pay attention. Love the podcast, but not Davina unfortunately.

I’m Sorry for My Terrible Pun
I never leave podcast reviews, but I felt compelled to do so. And now I’m mad at myself for inadvertently making a Vampire Diaries pun. I digress. This podcast has literally made me laugh out loud. The hosts remind me of my friends and I talking about tv shows we love, complete with bits, humor, and pop culture tangents. I love the two-episode at a time pacing and the social commentary that comes through each recap. I’m so glad that I decided to listen to this podcast after hearing LaToya on Buffering and Angel on Top. Highly recommend!

As if my obsession wasn’t bad enough
Well what can I say I’m on my second time listening through this podcast waiting patiently for season 6 to finally arrive! I’ve never read the book series and started it today and Tyler’s characters last name was originally Smallwood and I died laughing for 20 minutes. Thank you for sharing my love for the show, my boyfriend is a chid who doesn’t understand why I listen to an hour+ long podcast rewatching a show I’ve seen a million times but I knew the risks and still had to listen! I just got to the beginning of S3. I love all of you :/ Jill’s commentary is my favorite part but Morgan and Latoya’s energy is AMAZING lol. Thank you so much for providing this content. It’s such a bright spot during a particularly dark time for me right now and for that i am eternally grateful.

Love the tv show and this podcast
Came here from Angel On Top/Buffering and so glad I did! I would not have watched the Vampire Diaries without listening to those podcasts first. I read one of the Vampire Diaries books years ago and forgot about it (didn’t like it as much as Twilight ;) so I will go back and re-read and give the books another shot (books are much different than the show but I do love the characters now).

What have you done to me???!?
Love LaToya and Morgan on Angel on Top and needed more so I watched TVD for the sole purpose of being able to appreciate more of their content. Did I have to watch all 8 seasons in less than a month? No, but I absolutely did do that. Can honestly say I love this podcast and for me personally, it’s better than the show. I know my pod friends will never disappoint me like those dumb bad Salvatore boys did (more dumb less bad would have been nice). I’m on the penultimate season 3 ep of the pod and I can’t wait to hear their chaotic discussions about the later seasons and be reminded of all of the good moments!

I don’t do reviews but I had to know
Ladies you are my first review on podcasts, you make me literally laugh out loud and I look like a nut to those who don’t see I have ear pods in. I found you through wonderful Jenny and Kristen on Buffering and always makes me smile with her taking on Angel Latoya! Jill your take on the vamp diaries is giving me a new love of Tyler and then SILAS as best villain YES I hear you and love it!!! Also just like Latoya and Morgan can’t wait for you to get to season 6! You are going to love it, and if you don’t I’m crazy to think that it is one of the best seasons of TVD. Keep being the awesome sarcastic one Morgan I relate to your dry humor 100%. PS I started listening at season 4…. I hear you gals was a rough one… so I’ve got some catching up to do. Keep up the fun creative work you lovely ladies are doing! Love Charis

Prom made me do it
Picture it: March, 2022 and I realize that there isn’t going to be an episode of Angel on Top because “buffering” had “prom.” Distraught, I decide to finally listen to The Ampire Diaries despite never having seen TVD and truly knowing nothing about it except that I LOVED Nina Dobrev on Degrassi (which, in retrospect, was a clear sign that I am queer). I decided to get truly unhinged and do my first listen through without ever watching an episode - just living vicariously through Jill’s confusion. Then I did my second listen through and started the show but then I heard Morgan read a review that talked about a second listen through and she said “talk to me on your third time through” so alas here I am. Third time through and still as aware of the risks but having to listen. One could argue that I’m a little hyper fixated but to them I say ADHD is under diagnosed in women! But really, this podcast is a treat and the hosts are amazing and I have started saying chomp in real life which my partner is fully not on board with but TOO BAD. Can’t wait for the New Girl and PLL follow up shows so you’ll never stop making Jill watch TV! (Also I too was a superwholock tumblr girl in 2008 so Jill makes me feel SEEN)

Bless me daddy for I have sinned
I confess: I have never seen a single episode of TVD. I came here only because I ran out of of Angel On Top before running out of terrible thoughts that need shushing. I cried out, “more serotonin, plz” and these three powerful witches heard me. I’ve only been cross with my queens once when they said that Sage was the hottest of all redheads and, because I’ve never seen these episodes of television, I was very offended on behalf of my queen, Amber Jemstone. I looked up Sage to prove my point and, well, my face was as red as her glorious boxing wig. Thank you for the giggles. - Jackie

An Ampire stan
I caught up on Angel on Top and needed more Latoya and Morgan in my life. I didn’t think the dynamic between Latoya and Morgan could get any better and then Jill entered the chat. These three have the best chemistry together and have a podcast that has me bursting out laughing in public places. This has become my favorite podcast and deserves 15/5 stars.

Sibling betrayal abound!
This podcast is a 5/5 star podcast for the in-depth chaotic analysis from LaToya, Morgan, and Jill…but elevates to an 11/5 star podcast every time Morgan yells “REBEKAH!!!” in her spot-on Klaus Mikaelson voice.

Amazing!
I found this podcast mentioned on Twitter and just started listening and I love it so much! I feel like I’m watching the vampire diaries with friends and find myself laughing out loud while listening. We love fellow Bonnie and Caroline fans and I can’t wait to listen to more episode to see if we share more of the same feelings about certain things. Also funny story about the song Cut I think you’ll enjoy. In high school a friend of mine was obsessed with the vampire diaries before I was. We were in theatre together and she did the playlist for this one show and picked Cut by Plump to play at one of the more dramatic parts. A few years later when I started watching TVD I was like omg that’s the song from our play!!!??? She got this song from That scene!!!??? So it is forever in my mind as a mix of TVD and this high school play and every time you play it I have to stop myself from laughing.

Finally doing the thing
Writing a 5 star review for this gem has been on my to-do list for sometime but then Crescent City (The Originals) happened and I ran over here. The moment Jill said there were 7 people on her rankings this week (and we all knew what, or more specifically “who,” she meant) followed by a hopeless LaToya with “no.” Pure comedy gold. And dessert came just moments later when Michael said he had an honorable mention for boy corner (and we all knew who he meant) followed by a desperate LaToya with “no.” I know you passersby will have no context for this review but if you’re looking for some get content, just trust me on this one. I’m still laughing. Good kids, good pod. ♥️

I knew the risks of listening at 1.25 speed
I just caught up and this podcast has been a staple in my daily life. I Loved it so much, that’s I wanted to get caught up as quickly as possible, and started listen at 1.25 speed. My mistake because now I’m caught up, and waiting for new episodes I started watching vampire diaries over during the lockdowns in 2020 after my sister casually mentioned she started watching a show and came to my house 4 days later, saying she hasn’t slept because she couldn’t stop watching. I soon binged it, and then the originals and as I work from home, it’s my constant background. My sister moved across the country, but listening to the 3 hosts reminds me of our daily conversations about the show. They constantly make me laugh and love there thoughts, and opinions . I am a BONNIE-Stan and truly hate how the show pairs her with the worst people, and am so glad the hosts acknowledge the mistreatment of Bonnie and other black characters in the series. I love the appreciation and love for Tyler Lockwood, and the hosts have made me re-watch in a new light. I also love that lately the hosts occasionally have reference from the OC, because I am also currently rewatching and listening to Rachel Bilson and Kelly Donovan's podcast and literally shouted STEVE at the TV during his appearance. This pod is the best!

I knew the risks, but I had to leave a review…
I’m on my third listen through of this podcast and I need to finally leave a review. Listening to these 3 and occasional 4, is like hanging out with your friends. I have this podcast going all the time when I just need some background conversation. I’m on a 3rd listen through and I still regularly laugh out loud. I was thrilled when they split the episodes to on per episode because it meant the podcast would continue longer. I can’t wait to hear all the new takes! And in the meantime I’ll be listening along to the past episodes! Please keep up the great work!
