We’re BACK! Welcome back to The Alternative Living Podcast. This is our sixth episode, and we’re super excited to be resurrecting this podcast and sharing stories from our five years of alternative living. Join us in todays episode, from the comfort of our recently renovated caravan (learn more about that here), as we discuss just how we became to be where we are today. Topics include van life, boat life, off-grid life, and everything in between.

Welcome to our fifth episode of the alternative living podcast!  At the end of September we were invited to spend the weekend at Camp Quirky, hosted by Quirky Campers, who had around 30 self build camper vans all lined out beautifully in a sunny field in the cotswolds for a couple of nights.  There was so much inspiration for us as we are planning on buying a bigger van in the new year, so it was amazing to see so many different lay outs and chat to so many people who have done it themselves.  As usual we filmed the whole thing, so here's a link to the film where you can see all the vans we got to see. As well as a host of gorgeous vans we met up with some familiar faces, including Rich from Beyond The Van who we’ve recorded the next podcast with, and Ellie and Scott who we met back in August to create a film about their gorgeous van Florence.

Recently we met up with Steph and Matt whilst we were in Cornwall, and after spending the day filming a tour with them in their live in Iveco van, we sat down overlooking the Cornish coast to have a chat about how vanlife works for them... This week we’re covering our first van life podcast, as we’re joined by Possy and Dave who have self-converted their ford transit into a wonderful home on wheels that they live in along with their dog Buster. We met up with them on a quiet rural welsh road where we sat down for a long chat after spending the day filming a tour with them…

This week we're joined by David Johns, aka Cruising the Cut, who lives aboard his narrow boat and has done for almost 2 years now. We first heard of David through his YouTube channel, and as he was passing nearby us in the summer we popped over to see him and after many hours chatting knew he would be a perfect guest for our podcast! So, here we go...

This week we met up with Robbie Cumming; a full-time live aboard on a 42ft narrowboat who has been travelling in his boat Naughty Lass for two years now. As a continuous cruiser Robbie is always on the move, and as well as finding new locations to stay he works remotely and makes youtube videos of his endeavours. We travelled to Sheffield to film a tour of his boat, and sat down with a cup of coffee to discuss all things tiny floating home.
