Welcome to The After Prison Podcast (Episode 2) featuring Banky Pound who served 33 years in prison and Joe from AfterPrisonShow on YouTube who served 7 years in prison. Today we are joined by Darnell Phillips. A man who served 27 years in prison for a rape charge that DNA evidence after many years would prove he was not the assailant. The victim has also since admitted after many years that she believes Darnell was not her attacker and that police pressured her to believe he was. YET AFTER ALL OF THIS DARNELL PHILLIPS HAS NOT BEEN FULLY EXONERATED. That is something he is still waiting for. Why is that taking so long? If this man has been released and cleared of this crime and has lost 27 years of his life because of it, shouldn't he be granted this full exoneration immediately?

Episode 1 Travion Blount is a 30 year old man who less than a year ago was released from prison after serving 15 years in prison for a crime that would lead him to be sentenced to 6 life sentences plus 118 years. The punishment for his crime was very much cruel and unusual punishment and also is one of the harshest sentences ever imposed upon a juvenile where there was no murder.
