This month we are sharing our conversation with Raquel Sofia Sandoval, who is a Harvard Med School student and co-founder of the Instagram account @2WOCQueenMDs. She has been a leader for racial justice in medicine and healthcare and her work was borne out of truly wanting to make a difference in underserved communities. This month we had the pleasure of speaking to Javier Weddington, a co-founder of MIT BoSTEM Scholars.  He is a neuroscience researcher at MIT, is about to start a PhD program, and is a proud Chicago Public Schools alumn.  Javier shares his experience working towards more equitable access to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education, particularly for youth of color. They are a recent graduate and an instructor of the University of Colorado Boulder, where they met and encountered a challenge: how to make a gendered language, Hebrew, inclusive to people of all identities.  Listen as they share how this question took them on an unexpected path to activism, and where they are now.
