So glad to have found the Acid Capitalist. I now know I have been investing blindfolded without the in-depth insight provided by the podcast host. Never too old to learn!

Love Hugh and enjoy some of his interviews. The recent move to start streaming only 20 mins of often public interviews he has done then insisting on patreon contributions to hear the rest of the interview is not welcome. You lost me as a loyal listener Hugh. Hope to hear you talk again in the future when I can listen to the whole thing.

Would have given 4* before just because Hugh has a pretty unique take on things, even if his style is often rambling and incoherent. Now what insight he has might be saved for paid subscribers, not worth my time to find out.

Thank you Hugh for continuing to produce this great content. I highly value the perspective of you and your guests. It’s refreshing to hear the various issues explored in depth with unique thought that doesn’t simply repeat the main stream narratives regurgitated by financial media.

Hugh is always insightful and entertaining. Sometimes he speaks in parables, or perhaps Esperanto, but deciphering his message is certainly worthwhile.

Hugh challenges his listeners to think where the never-ending fight of our policymakers against the gradual decline into disorder will take us next. ‪Would not the ultimate absurd provocation be the the risk-free asset losing its permanence yet still making widows of those who forecasted its demise?

Respect to Hugh for sharing his macro insights. Please continue it very much appreciated.

I always come away with a new appreciation of the thought processes of Hugh’s guests. Even if I would never attempt to replicate their practices, I still gain perspective from the conversation. Thanks, Hugh, for bringing such varied practices and personalities to my earbuds.

Very much appreciate Hugh taking guests to task for shoddy risk management and faulty logic. For god’s sake get a Bkoomberg or other data vendor so ypu’re mot always looking for the price of whatever you’re talking about. And give us some meat on the bone re: your “offshore dollar creation” thesis. If there’s a BIS paper, link it. Or put together your own slides with hard data and share it. You allude to it constantly but it needs substantiation.

I love learning and hearing Hugh’s take on the economy as well as the feedback he gets from his awesome guests!

Hugh Hendry is what you would get if you took Captain Jack Sparrow and made him run a hedge fund for a while until he retires to his proper place in the Caribbean to drink rum (tequila), surf, tell tales of his past and our shared future on this podcast.

Hugh and Chris provide a thorough and differentiated view on many different topics, including current events, financial markets, philosophy, and many other pertinent topics. Hugh has a wonderfully unique mind and I would implore the world to listen. As well, no one wears a touqe (I’m Canadian) better than Hugh.

Happy to hear Hugh’s views. Prefer the shows in which he hosts and interviews guests solo.

A podcast I never miss! The way Hugh talks macro is very intriguing and usually leaves me asking deeper questions. Thankful to George Gammon for introducing me to HH :)

As a trader, I can’t afford the luxury to miss certain interviews. There’s only a few names that matter, from the point of view of risk-taking: Druckenmiller, Tepper, Paul Tudor Jones, Paul Singer, Ray Dalio - it’s really hard to count up to ten. Hugh Hendry is one of them. He’s been notoriously successful during the GFC, his macro bets (see the Icelandic krona) at Eclectica resemble George Soros / Druckenmiller ‘s bet against the British Pound. When was the last time that you’ve read a CV of Mike Tyson (“I will eat your children”)? Some people don’t need an introduction. Maybe that’s why I find it difficult, and unnecessary, to write this review. Hugh Hendry is a classic. For the average trader out there, interested in finance, in macro trading, or wanting to step up her/ his game, I highly recommend The Acid Capitalist podcast. In return, ask yourselves what matters the most: listening to people that aggregate opinions or to those that form opinions? Make profits, not just subscribe!

Great stuff. Hugh forces you to pay attention and do something different- think about what he and his guest are saying. Plus, the discussions aren’t just technical jargon and where everyone agrees with everyone else. They actually discuss different views. Conversation, what a novel idea.
