We love hearing stories of how God draws His children to freedom and rest. On today’s episode, our friend, Bonnie, shares her own story. She explains what she has learned about how the brain deals with past trauma, and how science and Christianity are not mutually exclusive. Bonnie has been a part of the Branch 15 ministry and will soon be completing her Counselor training program here at Oneness. Join Sharon and Lori as they introduce you to Bonnie!

We are three-part beings: body, soul, and spirit. Our spirit has been made whole by Christ – we are a new creation. There are a lot of things to “care” for the body – pharmaceuticals, exercise, diet, etc. But our souls – our mind, emotions, and will – also need healing. Treating the body does not heal the soul. In this episode we discuss how our souls have been wounded, and how healing happens.

If you’ve read the book of Job, you might have wondered about several things. Why does it seem like God held Job out as bait for Satan? Why do we talk about how patient Job was when he kind of looks like a whiner? What was Job’s suffering all about, anyway? And most importantly, where was God’s grace in this story? We’ve got quite a few thoughts about this. You may or may not agree, but asking questions and looking at things differently is always a good thing, don’t you think?

We all have those people, don't we? Family, co-workers, friends... And we may love them (or not), so we have to find a way to handle the relationship in a way that is healthy for that person and for ourselves. How do we do that? How do we know when to walk away? How do we continue to love them? We don't have all the answers, but we have some thoughts - as always!

We talk about believers no longer being under the Law, but under grace. But what if there’s more? What if the Law is actually no longer in effect – for anyone? This conversation explores what it means for the Law to be over.

We learn from asking questions, however, in some circles questions are not appreciated or even tolerated. But not asking questions can be dangerous. We run into trouble by blindly following a particular person, teaching, or philosophy. Even in Christian groups. What does God think about being questioned?

We do not like “commandments.” Bet you don’t, either! We recently watched a video by Malcolm Smith that gave us a whole new perspective on the word – which is the Greek word “entole.” And now it all makes so much sense!
