So I just finished both episodes and I realized as a parent I really need to reevaluate how I raise my kids. I have to strip my preconceived notions of what a successful child is and really just be supportive of my kids exploring their world at their pace and their comfort and ability level. I didn’t realize that being encouraging doesn’t have to be pushing kids to what I think their potential is but letting them get to their goals at their own speed and give them the space to meet their own definition success, not mine. It’s really so eye opening and I’m so lucky that Annie and Ali were Owen’s introduction to a new education system and I hope they’ll be Mason’s too. This podcast is such a great tool for teachers but really I found it so educational and empowering as a parent. I’ve learned a lot today.

It’s important to dig into the history and research about how our nation really created education, and how we still perpetuate and measure our schools and students. Annie and Ali give brilliant and fun voices to think about this subject. They invoke us educators, parents, and any stakeholders to think - and want to journey further with them in the lot podcasts and the revolution!

Educators, parents, and even those just curious about how the human brain learns and develops will find this podcast interesting. Definitely made me rethink the goals I’d have for my future children. Plus these ladies have great energy and are fun to listen to!

I feel like a fish that just realized it’s in water. Alexis and Annie have great chemistry and banter, but what they’re communicating is quite revolutionary. Not just as a way to approach education, but as a way to treat children, and maybe even each other. I’m loving this journey their taking is on!

I absolutely recommend this to anyone out there looking to be a part of the evolution and revolution in education! Ali and Annie are the perfect duo in their interactions and so easy to listen to. The story telling elements make you feel like you’re in the classroom with them. I cannot wait to keep listening!
