Best wine pod.. period!
I love learning about wine and have listened to many different pods. Many of the big name companies that host pods do a weak job.
Mike and Pete have the best wine pod period!
Love the episode doing a deep dive into Dave Phinney. More content like that would be awesome.
Also, thank you for introducing me to Day Wines. Incredible hidden gem with some of the best wine on the market.
Keep it up and someone sponsor these guys.

Best Wine Podcast By Far!
I’ve recently decided to get a little more serious in the wine hobby and this podcast has been my go-to! Mike and Pete do such a great job at keeping the conversation casual but also share a wealth of information without it becoming overwhelming for someone relatively new to the wine world.
Enjoying working my way through the library of previous episodes and listening to the new ones as they come out. You guys have really made it easy for me to feel comfortable when discussing and shopping for wine. I appreciate you both taking the time to do this podcast and wish you continued success!

I love this pod! Mike and Pete are very knowledgeable guys and you can't help but learn more about wine every episode. I'm working my way back through all the prior episodes from the beginning. From someone with way too much Russian River Pinot Noir in his fridge, they've persuaded me to make a little room for some Italian varietals. Every episode is a relaxed conversation and I get "wine smarter"with each listen. I can't recommend this pod more highly. PS I'm writing this review as I overlook a Pinot vineyard in the RRV🍷Cheers!

Fun and educational
I work at a local winery and have been having lots of fun exploring the world of wine and this podcast has been a great addition to my education. Plus, it’s so fun! I just listened to the episode on Chablis- I thought I didn’t like Chardonnay until I tried a Chablis and explored unoaked Chardonnays! Thanks for helping me learn more about wine!

Great show
Continuing to enjoy That Wine Pod podcast. The hosts do a great job of sharing their knowledge in such a way that it appeals to listeners from all ends of the wine knowledge spectrum. After listening to The Prisoner episode, I found a 2012Machete in my collection and cracked it open. Thanks for the inspiration, guys.

Best wine podcast!
Mike and Pete are incredibly knowledgeable. I always learn something new. The Chianti episode was one of the best. I reached out to Mike about getting a case of what they were drinking and a few days later he was delivering me a case!

Great mix of fun and knowledge!
These guys are really a pleasure to listen to. In addition to just being accessible for all levels of wine enthusiasts, Mike and Pete really seem to enjoy their discussions each other’s company. Plenty of knowledge and fun facts are shared about winemakers, grape varietals and regions. You get both somm and retail experience.

Excellent podcast about wine and life!
When life gives you lemon, you make a limoncello! That’s what these guys did when they launched this podcast talking about wine during this pandemic. Mike is super knowledgeable about wine yet talks about it in a very casual way that anyone can understand and relate to. Each topic is interesting and something I look forward to listening to each episode. Having some background in wine as an avid fan, I can appreciate the details that they discuss yet love their fun spirited laid back way of presenting it. Cheers to you guys!

Down-to-earth wine pod
Loved the Montsant (Can Blau) I picked up after listening to the Montsant podcast. Never even knew that region existed. Inspired to pick up a Chinon this weekend after the cab franc episode. Keep em coming!

Navigating a Restaurant wine list
Love how Pete the host who knows little about wine plays the spoil to the expert VinoMike. In this episode Mike gives great advice when facing an intimidating restaurant wine list.

Amazing podcast with Dan Pilkey
Do not be put off by the length of this episode- it is the type of episode that will keep you sitting in the driveway at the end of a day still listening instead of coming inside! Hosts Pete and Vino Mike may have only done 11 episodes, and I have listened to all 11. However, this one podcast solidifies their knowledge, easy going attitude, and journalistic integrity all in one kick butt show. After listening to episode 11, you will likely go searching their other pods to listen to.

Fun and Unpretentious
It’s so refreshing to hear two people so passionate and knowledgeable talk about wine in a way that is so simple and not intimidating - it’s just about spreading the love for wine. As a 10 year veteran of the F&B industry this podcast brings me back to a great time in my life where I learned so much. Look forward to tuning in and learning some more...

Light and worthwhile listening
I sampled other wine podcasts about a year ago and bored by all. Like this one a lot. It’s easy-listening, broad-ranging, authentic, and helped by the interplay between the hosts. Felt at first like they may have been going for more whacky/fun tone (like some fantasy football pods), but have settled into a casual and conversational approach with less self-consciousness... they’re likable, knowledgeable and clever enough to just riff on topics and that’s been enough for me.
These guys walk an interesting fine line, firmly critiquing the wine industry for scoring, pricing, top wine lists, etc, without ever really going negative. I think they’re able to do this because they appreciate so many wines at all levels (even pro-canned wines!) and know/like a lot of vintners and other wine professionals... so the tone overall is celebratory, and a nice break from the history and current events podcasts I frequent (which obviously don’t often leave me smiling)... more like a great music podcast. Net, someone like me, a bit advanced in my wine knowledge and range but far from an expert, learns new stuff each episode of this pod, or is provoked to think about what I already know a bit differently... without straining a brain cell. Keep it up!

Intro Show That Wine Pod
Started off a little slow, but quickly caught my interest. VinoMike gave an interesting account of his introduction to wine and the wine industry. Pete also gave an interesting take on his view of the industry. I expected a snooty snobbish show but it turned out to be very down to earth. I learned a few things about working people who love wine. A podcast about wine for the “common man”. I am looking forward to future podcasts.
