In today's episode of That Cuts Deep your host Alex interviews her past co-host. They rehash the "co-host breakup" which was certainly necessary, especially if you are an OG listener. Additionally they chat about all things communication issues, what you should look for in a potential partner, and how dating differs from being in your early twenties to being in your mid twenties. Listen in and remember to hit that download button!Instagram: @alexxervinTikTok: @alexxervin

Full disclosure friends, today's EP is a mini.HowEVER the message is far from mini, & you're going to want to hear this. As much as you want to believe that you know what's best for you in every scenario, that's not always true. Yes, it's true that you know what feels best for you based on a number of factors, but sometimes we have to make note of the fact that a friend is able to analyze your situation without the blinders that you have up in regards to your situation. TRUST. This is a quickie, but a goodie. Can't wait to hear what you think <3Instagram: @alexxervinTikTok: @alexxervin

Oh girl, your insecurities are showing. Just joking, unless you're a mean girl. In that case, they're 100% shining wayyyy too bright. Today's episode is all about exposing why mean girls are mean and let me be the first to tell you, those insecurities are a direct route to a hateful heart. We can do better than this, ladies. Let's expose why these girls are being so mean & teach them how to do better. If you can replace one negative thought with a positive one, your day will already be on the right track. Let's do it together, friends. Instagram: @alexxervinTikTok: @alexxervin

Lets celebrate the fact that our generation is changing the game and typically not marrying at eighteen years old - or at all when necessary. It's never been accepted for a "lady" to not marry. In fact, there is still a stigma against not wanting marriage or kids. Let's take the time to praise this generation and the fact that we are becoming so much more accepting of independence. On another note, it's so important to take note of the fact that there is nothing wrong with getting married so long as it's to the right person. Loving someone intensely will not make a good marriage, and our generation is recognizing this. If they make you cry, or make you feel awful about yourself on a regular basis... LEAVE. They won't change. This episode was a bit of a rant, but then again, that's normally your favorite kind, friends. Love you all & we'll talk next Thursday Instagram: @alexxervinTikTok: @alexxervin

As we've said many times before: Self Awareness is important. Trauma Bonds are so often mislabeled as being so intensely in love and lets be honest here... you probably aren't. If you feel comfort in being sad or listening to sad music, there is likely an underlying issue. At the end of the day, you have yourself and your main job in life is to take the best possible care of yourself that you can. On the same subject... becoming self aware of the fact that we often find excitement in toxicity. Listen, it's really easy to become intrigued with someone or something that is toxic because the toxicity is often camouflaged as excitement. Hear me out though, it's not, and its a form of self sabotage. Let's do better, friends. Instagram: @alexxervinTikTok: @alexxervin

Ask your self: "Why do I care what anyone thinks of me?" and then let that shit go. Also, it's wayyyy too easy to overthink and worry about every little detail, but I "literally" promise that no-one is paying that much attention to you, and if they are... they're a fan of yours, & baby, you should be flattered. Let's normalize being socially awkward and embracing it because "normal" is way boring. PS. Do you ever think that if you had just heard the right piece of advice at the exact right time things would be entirely different? Our host Alex certainly does. As do a ton of people online. It's almost like we need the advice to come from the right person in order for it to be effective. It's too bad we can't talk some sense into our younger selves, because personally, I'd listen to me.So our title is That Cuts Deep, and this week we are certainly getting deep. A letter to yourself is meant to be healing and maybe a little difficult, but 100% worth it. Written below is a small excerpt of your host Alex's letter to herself: (Quick Trigger Warning for This Episode: "Me Too" Movement) You’re twenty one now and finally old enough to drink. And while you’ve been mastering the art of taking shots for longer than you should admit, you don’t drink like before because now, at twenty one you know better than to take too many shots because when you do, you learn that you’ll be able to relate to the trend “me too.” They’ll all say you’re lying, or that you we’re showing too much skin, but what they don’t know is that it was summer and it was hot and you were supposed to be able to trust the men you considered a friend. It’s okay though, because you preserver. You grow and grow until you’re the best version of you. She’s someone you can be proud of. Just wait and see.Love, yourself. Instagram: @alexxervinTikTok: @alexxervin

News Flash... You cannot force someone to treat you a certain way. Think about the quote "let them." it is so short yet so powerful. "let them leave." "let them cheat." "let them stay." JUST. LET. THEM. On today's episode we're taking a trip down memory lane in our least favorite way possible. EX Boyfriends... Yikes. Lets talk relationships, toxicity, and good vibes. While today's episode covers a wide variety of topics, the main trend is the quote "let them." Instagram: @alexxervinTikTok: @alexxervin

We always say to not put pressure on yourself, right? Well, I just proved that statement WRONG. If you don't put pressure in the right areas of our lives, then we will never achieve ANYTHING. Obviously don't put pressure on the area's of your life that aren't fulling your happiness, but you should absolutely be applying the pressure toward the areas of your life that matter to you. Listen to this episode if you're ready to start prioritizing the right things in life and need the motivation to leave the areas of your life that matter the least to you completely alone. Instagram: @alexxervinTikTok: @alexxervin
