Ep. 12. Successfully fighting breast cancer using functional testing (without chemo or radiation!) with Amanda K. Compton, FNTP, RWP Level 2
In this episode, I chat with Amanda about her journey of finding out she had breast cancer, and then choosing to fight it naturally by using functional lab testing to guide her treatment plan! Amanda is a wife and mother of 3, who homeschooled her kids all the way through and got into functional nutrition to support her own health. She is from Arizona originally and moved to Texas by way of Illinois for 9 years, where her kids were all born. While homeschooling them, she found a passion for whole-food nutrition and holistic wellness and began my studies under the Nutritional Therapy Association and Restorative Wellness Solutions and now works in private practice with clients who want to address their health concerns naturally.  She recently battled breast cancer (diagnosed at 43) and won the fight without chemo or radiation. That journey gave her a deep desire to work with people who want to prevent cancer, are currently battling it or trying to prevent a recurrence. Food is powerful and is an awesome tool in a cancer battle. Fun fact: She has 5 dogs and a cat, (that's more than the number of people in her home!) all of which are rescues and they keep her home loud and busy!
