Special guest alert! Jen Lebo from Women Becoming Enough comes on to talk about her group and how it's actually the most UNselfish thing to do to take time for yourself. We discover that our two very separate groups/podcasts, actually have a similar mission- aren't we all doing the best that we can? But we can still work to be better and that's where being intentional with your self talk comes in.

WARNING: This episode talks about the existence (or lack there of) of the Tooth Fairy and Santa. Do not listen around little kids!
The episode starts out with a new goal challenge for our listeners. Every month join Brenna and Heather as they each choose 3 goals to work toward. Join us in this journey! #TellItGoals
Brenna forgot to be tooth fairy for A which has left her questioning the existence of such magic. Brenna is really bummed, and feels like this is the beginning of the loss of innocence of childhood.
A friend calls in with a question about making mornings easier. (I'm sure we can all relate!) And of course Heather peppers us all with her well thought out advice and positive outlook on life.

Brenna gives you two stories this week that will hopefully have you laughing like she was. One was a pretty frustrating (and super gross) thing that C did and then the other is something that C does all too often as a 7 year old with ADHD- perseveration. It can be pretty maddening for a mom, but this is actually a really funny example of it.
Heather assures Brenna this is hilarious, and together, they brainstorm ideas for keeping C busy this summer, and also ready to transition back to school in the fall.
Also, a mom writes in with worry about her daughter who doesn't show much emotion and rarely opens up. Mom is concerned this could affect her in social situations and friendships in the future.

Brenna has had a hard month. A 5 day weekend culminated in a huge overreaction and blow up on her kids. A friend writes in about her talented teenage daughter who hasn't put in the effort to stay competitive and on top of her game. Should mom keep pushing her or just let it go?

February feels so crazy- GS cookie sales, so many school projects and long division?! There doesn't seem to be enough time in the day. A has been showing signs of being a mean girl- Brenna is hoping this is her attempt at sarcasm but just isn't sure. Finally, Heather and Brenna chat about how to have difficult conversations with your children.

Brenna had the flu and used the TV to babysit her kids. Is it normal for her to feel guilty about that? Tia from The Resting Mom Face calls in with a question about potty training and teaching her little guy to sleep in his own bed. Could it be a separation issue while daddy is deployed?

Brenna confesses to being super judgey before having kids, but has come a long way. She relives a potential conflict-causing issue she had with C about homework, and was happy that she didn't get involved in a power struggle with him. Heather talks about important it is to recognize what's truly important to you as a family, and a caller asks about what to do because her family is moving.
