October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and so I’m so excited to bring on a dear friend and expert, Geimy Barreto, MSW, LSW. Geimy is a bilingual clinician working with victim survivors of domestic violence and their children. She received a BA in psychology from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) and her MSW from Rutgers University with a certificate in Violence Against Women & Children. In addition to her impressive credentials, her mission is to educate and guide women and men survivors of abuse through their individual healing process so they reach their full potential of self-sufficiency, self-empowerment, and self-love. I sincerely hope that this conversation will empower you to take the necessary steps towards freedom and healing. If you know someone who is dealing with DV, be a dear and share this.
