Karl Rehn is most known for his exemplary firearms training curriculum at KR Training in Lincoln, Texas. He has navigated the industry for more than 30 years where he's developed his skillset from shooter, to instructor, and now achieved the tiny community of people called upon to be an expert witness in court cases that involve lethal force. Join me as we talk about the recent Constitutional Carry legislation in Texas, the popular demand for training vs the realistic skillsets he feels would benefit shooters the most, and the hurdles we face in our efforts to prevent tragic events like the ones that occurred in Uvalde Texas. Dr. Bryant suffered a debilitating injury in his 20's that left him paralyzed from the waist down but that's not where his story ends. Some might argue that's where it began. Join me as I learn about his story of pain and achievement as he talks me through his journey setting 2 Guinness World Records, earning a PhD, speaking to thousands of people across the country, raising sons, and the research he put into his soon to be released book "Fraud President". Clayton is good friend with a record of service to his nation and community an Austin Fire Fighter, Marine Scout Sniper, father, husband, and all the hats one must wear to achieve those titles. But like every one of us he found himself living in misery. Unhappy with life, feeling empty, and like an observer in world meant for others to enjoy. Until one day he took action to turn the wheels that led him to the Healing Warrior Church. His story is refreshing, inspiring, and through his voice you can hear the light in his eyes again. Clayton was reminded on his journey that life is not a spectators sport, he is not a drone, he is an active participant and here to play in this game called life... and you are too.Book recommendation: "Green Lights" by Matthew McConaughey

It isn't a secret that the veteran community is plagued with mental illness and suicide. The opportunity to experience a psychedelic retreat came to me a few weeks ago and fell on the exact same day as the funeral for a Marine that I served with who had committed suicide. So I felt that I couldn't pass it up and staying true to the intent of this podcast, I wanted to attend it with the intent to share the experience. Join Milo and me as we question Rick about the retreat and be sure to check out the 2nd half of this podcast where we discuss our experience and the impact it's had on our lives. Please help us share this information in hopes that we can put a dent in this epidemic of mental illness that so many people both veteran and civilian are struggling with. Nick Slatten was working for Black Water in 2007 when he found himself in a gun fight in Baghdad Iraq. After two failed attempts the federal government in 2014 wrongfully convicted Nick of Voluntary Manslaughter and sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole. However in 2020 President Trump gave him a full pardon and sent him home. Today Nick and I are meeting to discuss another soldier named Calvin Gibbs who was wrongfully convicted of 3 counts of murder and sentenced to life in prison. The special timing of this episode is that tomorrow, July 7th, is Calvin's first parole hearing. Please listen and share this discussion to help get the word out about Calvin so we can get him back home to his family. FreeCalvinGibbs.com
