Let's just say, I was VERY low on inventory. I was pouring from and eventually had to fill an empty cup.
I hope you missed me. I missed you. In my time away I had to admit that I am too transparent about most of my life experiences. Helping me to realize that being transparent can at times attract the doers of the complete opposite. THE LEECHES. I wasn't being careful with myself and eventually burned all my water down to nothing, if you know, you know. You can burn water. I'm here and I'm coming back with a new pot of tea. I asked my friend and boss lady Armanii, to join me as she has been the pot for me in many instances for my tea to be filled from. We talk about the thread that binds us and how unfortunate it is that so many of us in the dance community will be in some of the same circles and never cross paths. This is the ignorance of us to one another. Making it easier for us to be divided, than it is for us to be united. Sad to an admit this is a huge issue in the Jersey dance community.
*We have a few additional voices of the next generation of dance artist that drop in too. I chose not to edit them out because we love the kids, and love to keep it real. Shout out to S and Z if they ever find this episode.
"Let people in on the good," Armanii encourages. You don't want to miss it!

I used to really love school and then high school happened. When that last day of school hit and I knew I no longer had to sign in to homeroom, I just knew I wouldn’t be dealing with the same foolishness as I had while in school. Real life was beginning and college was going to be euphoric, boy was I wrong. Seems to be I’ve met the same people again and again. It seems the mean girls are still wearing pink on Wednesdays. Let’s talk about it. New episode on Monday! I promise.

Shame! After another unforeseen break Tonju is back with a recap of her life since the last episode. A little dance talk and joys could not happen without being tried. Asking the question: why are black Americans judged so harshly by other blacks of the Caribbean and Africa? Where’s the love for blacks without foreign accents? Follow @told_ju for sneak peaks of the episode. Follow @tonjuanikchoreography too!

The sad truth is, it’s no ones fault but your own in the game of life right? The people pleasers in the room know what I mean when I say, you teach people how to treat you. If you are always going, always giving, how well are you taking care of yourself? I can tell you from experience you’re not. From my snot nose to what could be yours, I’m telling you why you should slow down on being everyone’s super hero and be your own, first.

This week Tonju is venting. You’ll have to listen to find out why. Was Monique wrong about bonnets and pjs? Who are the Kevin Samuels and Papi Don’s of the world? The audacity chile.
