– After Paul is arrested, he adopts a defensive strategy centered on recounting the story of his conversion and visionary experience with Jesus Christ. The Roman commander Lysias safeguards Paul from harm.

– Paul is accorded greater privileges as a Roman citizen.

– After Paul addressed the Sanhedrin, the Lord again appears to him, assuring him that he will bear witness of him in Rome. Paul learns of the conspiracy to kill him, and he is delivered to Felix in Caesarea.

– As a political favor to the Jews, Felix keeps Paul in prison. Felix, Festus, Agrippa II, and Bernice all play significant roles in Paul’s custody. Bernice will become a close associate of Titus, the future Emperor.

– King Agrippa II, hearing Paul’s testimony, is almost persuaded to be a Christian.

– Paul travels toward Rome in a perilous ocean voyage. He is shipwrecked and bitten by a snake.

– Statements and traditions about Paul. Acts 28 marks the conclusion of the history in scriptural canon.

– “Salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.”
