Hornsby and Mercer interview
Fun, interesting podcast with a revolving door of artists. Because there are no hosts and therefore there’s no voice your getting used to, there’s no guarantee your going to be interested in every episode, but if your listening at work or putting it on without a bias towards the names you’ll find yourself being pleasantly surprised. I’ve found out about a few artists based on how interesting or honest their conversations have been with no prior knowledge of them and that’s always a sign of a good podcast to me. My one fault with this podcast is that I find myself having to skip the intros as I personally can’t stand the people essentially giving away all the main beats of the conversation. The conversation feels far less natural as I’m listening if I know all the main prices of subject matter... otherwise great listen.
Bachelor Podcast with Kaitlyn
The podcast with Nikki and Kaitlyn was a mess. It’s not my kind of humor they were spewing, but I kept listening just like people stop in traffic to turn their head to watch a car crash. It was needlessly mean at points (Ben Higgin’s girlfriend is a virgin because she looks like a virgin??) and also not funny, it was at points incoherent. Overall not fun to listen to.
Liking Kaitlyn Bristowe Less and Less!
SO disappointing hearing Kaitlyn put someone’s girlfriend’s sexual history on blast. Lost so much respect for her after listening to this episode with Nikki.
this is my first time reviewing a podcast
KEVIN DREW AND JOHN VANDERSLICE BROUGHT ME HERE AND WOW I CANNOT WAIT TO BINGE THIS WHOLE SHOW
its a good podcast though
i skip the theme music because the man saying “WAAAAASSSSSUUP” vexes me so
Listen to this podcast nooooowwwwww
NO more intros PLEASE
I love the concept of the podcast & the 5 episodes I’ve listened to were great for the most part. My only complaint is the super long intros. I don’t need the breakdown of topics or the guests bio. Maybe I’m in the minority but I mostly listen to the artist I’m familiar with. Can you please post some sort of time code marker so I can skip the intros? Or keep the intros to 1-2 minutes? They seem to ramble on & on & on & on... thanks!
Love listening to real people talk about real stuff in a real way! Really!
STOP THE INTROS PLEASE. Unnecessary.
I love this podcast and the interviews that they manage to put together. But the editor in chief intros are so unnecessary. Just two guys summing up exactly what we're about to hear. Just play the interview. I know I could just skip this part. But I just don't get why they even need to sum up exactly what we're about to listen to.
Love the concept and it's done very well. Talkhouse gathers interesting groups that make for interesting conversations! Love.
A great forum of some amazing musicians in great conversations!
A lot of these talks are beautiful. The Kim Deal and Courtney Barnett episode made me cry.
Fantastic insights in a casual, intimate setting
I love the format of this interview/converastion-style podcast. The Talkhouse features recording artists slightly similar backgrounds (but with very different experiences) talking about songwriting, playing, recording, and anything that comes to mind. In each episode feel like you are hanging out with two massive talents just shooting the breeze, getting to know each other and becoming friends. What a fantastic idea for a show (and there’s companion Film & TV version too!) from author Michael Azerrad who has written several tremendous books on indie rock, including Come As You Are (Nirvana) and See a Little Light (Bob Mould). Yes.
Musicians talking to musicians, and it's worth your time
As much as I like to hear critics' opinions about music, I truly enjoy listening to someone who plays music on a regular basis talking to someone who plays music on a regular basis. Certainly check out the podcast with Liam Wilson from the Dillinger Escape Plan and Kip Winger.
