In their first episode, Sydney and Cassie interview Stephanie Petrick, a third-year undergraduate student in the University of Calgary's Classics and Religious Studies Department, about her experiences being a badass academic and navigating an often male dominate and traditional space. Covering topics such as the 2SLGBTQIA* community in academia, the usage of a-typical sources, being a newlywed, and the struggles of balancing home life and schooling this conversation will hopefully shed some light on the incredible work being done amongst the young scholars of today. We hope you will become as inspired by Stephanie and the future generation of strong-willed and forward-thinking academics as we are. And don't forget to check out Stephanie's own podcast: Dux Femina launching soon!
( Also a big thanks to Simi Khosa for editing all our nonsense audio in this episode!)

Tune in once a month to hear the stories of students and faculty alike and how they navigate their current academic sphere.
