Taking It Down starts this week with Summer of Soul from Questlove; the gang make an attempt to express the joy of the documentary (1:25). After the break, it's an examination of how the new Netflix series Somos. owes a lot to David Simon yet maintains a high level of interest (25:10). Finally, it wouldn't be a summer episode if they didn't at least discuss the newest episode of Loki, titled "The Nexus Event" (38:53).
