Totally not bad

Love this podcast, I look forward to it every week to hear from Andrew and his guests. I got back into fishing over the past two years after the passing of my dad. It has provided me healing to relive memories from my child with him and plenty of nice fish along the way. I’ve also picked up some new baits along the way that were featured.

Just getting back into fishing after decades, Tackle Talk has been immensely helpful in gear and technique. Plus it’s just enjoyable to listen to. Andrew runs a tight ship and it’s far superior to many other podcasts out there in any genre. It’s one of a few weekly podcasts that I’m always excited to check out. On top of that, I live in NYC and keeping me engaged in the sport is no easy feat especially in these winter months. Still I’m excited for prespawn and stocking up on knowledge before heading out. Tight lines!

What a great podcast. Andrew is a very easy going guy and the podcast is fluid with great sound quality. I’ve used a lot of his tips and have caught some nice bass. Thank you.

Andrew strikes the perfect balance of keeping things interesting, varied, fun and real! Andrew is helping open up a whole new way of thinking and looking at fishing. He gives great tips on what rods, tackle, etc. are great and why. He also keeps my 10 year old son engaged with the content. Great for the whole family!

This podcast is packed with helpful information for bass anglers. I learn multiple new helpful things with every episode. Good job on this podcast and keep it up!

My favorite fishing podcast, I’ve learned so much!

I found the Tackle Talk podcast a few months back and have devoured most every episode, several episodes 2-3 times ( love, love, love the Bait Breakdown series.) I am a 50 something year that grew up bass fishing and have been away from it for the better part of 30 years. Andrew’s podcast has made catching up on rods, reels, electronics, lures, techniques, kayaks, etc very easy and in an enjoyable format. Now, go get you some Tackle Talk!

This show is simply the best. I don’t have a ton of time as a teacher and father of three boys. To hear the reviews helps me sift out what I want and what I do not want. Also love the tie in w American Legacy Fishing. Would never have found this awesome store without him. This guy is legit. He humbly educates. As good as I have heard and am looking forward to the weekly episodes! 10/10. Great job Andrew! Kudos!

This is hands down one of the best podcasts. Andrew the host does a great job keeping the show fresh and energized. His guests are always entertaining yet they still find a way to drop a ton of knowledge each interview. Gear reviews are straightforward and objective. Just a great well rounded easy listening podcast.

Tackle Talk got me back on track when I decided to start fishing more seriously a few years ago. I’m not a big podcast guy, but I’ve listened to every episode of Tackle Talk, and several more than once. I love the time tested tips and tricks, unique guests and mail bag responses. Andrew does a fantastic job cutting through the industry noise to help average anglers across the spectrum figure out how to catch fish starting in the midwest. The seasons, weather, and pressure can be unforgiving, but Tackle Talk tells it like it is and makes no excuses for sitting back waiting for bass to come to us. If you want to learn something new every time you listen, give Andrew and Tackle Talk a shot. This show is totally worth it. Keep giving them the beans, Haze!

First, this is perhaps the most professional podcast out there. Not just fishing podcasts but podcasts in general. I truly appreciate how Andrew does not waste my time like many other podcasts. Listening to juvenile banter for 20 minutes before fishing even comes up is beyond frustrating. His production quality and consistency should be what young podcasters should strive for. Second, if your looking for fishing tips and equipment reviews for the everyday man and not just tournament drama and sponsor plugs, you are in the right place. Finally, if your new to bass fishing (or getting back into it after a long hiatus as I was) I recommend going back and listening to his two 5 rod episodes, all of the tackle box build episodes, and all the mailbag episodes. This will give you alot of information to get started in a short amount of time.

I recently got into fishing and needed a non biased source of information and Tackle Talk is just that. Andrew is such a professional the way he tests and gives honest reviews on baits, rods, reels etc.

The show focuses on useful information and interviews rather than pushing sponsored products and is a gem that stands out among all angling media. I highly recommend this podcast to anglers of all skill levels.

I’ve been a lister since late 2020 and Andrew has given me the motivation, the confidence and the knowledge to better myself on the water! It’s been a much better experience fishing since listening to tackle talk. He delivers all the information and resources you need to have a better experience on freshwater waterways in all aspect's. Hey, what’s up my name is Dominic Collins and I fished since I was four. I’m 13 yrs old and I have my own YouTube channel and I love bass fishing a lot. I have a slx DC and Mach pro baitcaster combo. I’m looking to get a third baster combo since the other ones. I have other than my select DC and my mock Pro are all crappy. Any suggestions? my channel is called Ripping Rods TV and it’s all about bass fishing. I do occasional trout fishing and such but my main obsession is bass fishing and tournament bass fishing. My question was I’ve had a hard time catching decent size largemouth this winter season and I wanted to know any recommendations on what you would recommend for fishing in December and winter cold climates. I’ve been listening this podcast for well over a year and a half now Andrew’s content is bar-none, some of the most useful helpful and refreshing information I’ve ever had I thought I knew a lot about bass fishing until I started listening to this podcast. Then I realized there’s more to it that I don’t think anyone can ever fully wrap their mind around the end of the day. We all have the same hobby and he gives us some great advice. Thanks, Andrew.💪🏼

Great podcast! Andrew avoids the trap of drama/clickbait that many others in the fishing industry thrive/take the easy way out on, and he sticks to his own genuine, articulate, concise, and free-flowing unscripted script. It’s nice to hear someone deliver some no B.S. news and relevant updates in an industry dominated by snake oil salesmen.

Never have i learned so much so fast! I stared listening to this show a few years back. After one episode, I backtracked and started from the beginning. Literally hooked. I really appreciate the honesty in reviews. The informational tips. The great interviews. Most importantly, the host Andrew, is so great at communicating with the listeners. i can’t believe the growth both in this show and myself because of it.
