I am the same age as mom and dad but our kids have all moved out. This show reminds me of countless conversations that don’t happen as often anymore. Bonus, it is fun for me to listen to some of the pandemic episodes. I live in North Dakota, there wasn’t anything close to the restrictions that you experienced.

I just love these downhome family episodes. Who can’t relate to their challenges and adventures. It’s really a hoot to be invited into their family life, all of its twists and turns. I applaud Matt and his dear wife for doing so fine a job with their 4 now grown children- a real testament to a happy family life! Kudos to Matt, his wife, and their 4 sweet kids! I tuned in after missing your family for so long and so happy to find new episodes I’m not sure what your family reads for data on Covid 19 stats, but I was so disappointed to hear your family agree that unvaccinated people should pay more for healthcare. Do you feel the same about overweight people, drinkers, smokers, etc? Many unvaccinated have had Covid or have serious health issues that preclude them from many vaccines. Covid has a 99% recovery rate for people 65& under without co-morbidities (according to CDC statistics available on CDS website this week). I thought your family were common sense people who could see through the mainstream media lies. I will miss what your podcast once was 😢

I’ve listened to you guys since the beginning and have enjoyed it! The last few though have gone a little to far on the Covid ! You are not educated on the masks or vaccine! So please don’t spread more false education! If you want the vaccine GREAT! And if you feel safe with it people who choose not aren’t any threat to you! It’s never going away just like the flu and other covid strands that have been around forever! So please stop bullying people to get it! My body my choice! Please go to different site and educate yourself! Are you really scared when the government lets thousands of people over the border and don’t mandate them to have a vaccine? But the American people do?

Totally understand going to the grocery store and feeling panicked. Nobody looks at anybody. Really quiet in grocery stores, Walmart and Costco. It’s nice to hear how everyone is feeling. My husband and I are by ourselves and we have done ok but there are days. Just nice to hear you guys are feeling what we’re feeling. Just crazy times. Glad to hear the younger generation and middle generation and older generation views on the whole crazy situation. Yes, it’s amazing how this has totally shut us down. I am a long time fan of Garage Logic and was thrilled to find this gem 💎’! Born and raised in Minnesota I left many years ago but still identify with this family . They are funny , interesting and comforting to listen to . I hear the love and respect among the whole family with each other , very refreshing in this day and age . I may live in Florida but I will always remember my Minnesota roots and LOVE listening! Keep up the good work !!

Have not written a review as I am a relative of Rookie and his family, completely adore all 6 of them and thought reviews should come from unbiased sources? For the record, I am a loyal listener and have an enormous sense of pride as I listen each week to their family table talk. After reading so many of the reviews (while quarantined during COVID-19) from listeners and their feel-good opinions of how cool this family is, I felt compelled to share that what you hear each week is the REAL DEAL! I can vouch for the fact that they truly are an excellent example of a modern-day family. A family we should all aspire to be. The bond starts with the love and respect Mom and Dad have for each other, to the love and confidence they give individually to each of their children and the trickle down effect that has had for their kids. They have real relationships with each other - such a rarity in today’s culture. Spending time with them, in person, or as a listener each week, is a gift that keeps on giving! Keep up the good work around the table and every other aspect of your lives sweet family! You truly are one-in-a-million!

Honestly, Rookie’s wife is a saint and his kids are seriously immune to a Dad who is obviously in love with them but has no real parenting skills. Rookie’s the guy everyone else calls “the crazy Uncle” in your family. I love this show. It’s funny, it’s unscripted and completely off cuff. This is the family you want to have a beer with, and trust me, Rookie’s got a fridge full. When you get through the first, I guarantee his liquor cabinet is well stocked to keep the party going. Don’t be shy - give it a try. Some show’s are completely stupid, the other’s just plain stupid, but they are all very funny and delightful. God Love You, Rookie. As someone who also has “a friend who works at the airport” and knows the challenges of working at Terminal 2, I love you and your family and what they represent.

I had to find out what the mystery was with the short stint as a Federal Officer. I really enjoyed the family discussion and banter. Reminded me of the movie Cheaper by the Dozen with all the personalities melting into one. Great Pod hope it works out well! I’ll be listening

Been a GLer since 2008, just started listening to this podcast. Absolute hilarity how you (Rook) egg on your private school kids on the athletics lol, it’s like listening to a pillow fight (we all know public schools reign supreme). That awesome subsidiary at the airport strikes again, sorry about the missed opportunity. The young boys snarky comments when the Kardashian-esk one says something odd is pretty funny too. Obviously I’m just writing about the last podcast, but I’ll check out the others and keep listening. Good stuff 👍🏽

To hear your family interact gives me hope for America. Rook and the bride have obviously done something right and good while raising this clan. If only every family was this tight we’d be ok as a nation. Looking forward to many more podcasts.

I’ve been a long time listener of Garage Logic, first on AM1500 and now the podcast. I have three children who love a “story” at bedtime. After we run through the typical stories read out of a book they have always asked for an encore. For several years that “encore” was always the latest episode of garage logic. About 9 months ago I decided to go with an episode of Table Talk instead of the typical Garage Logic episode. Ever since that day the kids have not only requested, but in some instances demanded they get to listen to Table Talk. Sunday nights used to be a depressing night because of the end of the weekend but now it’s filled with excitement because of the newest Table Talk episode “dropping”. Thanks for sharing your family with mine. It’s great to have a clean and honest podcast for kids to listen to that is both entertaining and informational. You guys will forever be remembered in our family as the “encore” story. Keep up the great work!

I absolutely love the podcast! Even though I’m 60 years old, it takes me back to my childhood in a similar sized family! I really enjoy how each of the kids are comfortable enough to be able to laugh at themselves. The love you all have for each other comes through loud and clear every week. It’s also pretty cool how Dad lets everyone else lead and only steps in when it’s his turn, or to control things (“No funny voices now”)! Continue the good work and keep making my Sunday’s better!

Hi Guys, I thought your dad was kidding about GL having a sister show, but finally my curiosity got the better of me. You guys are an absolute riot. I too am from a Catholic family of 6 and you guys remind me of home. While I am Matt Sr.’s age your stories and sibling snappiness almost makes me want to move back to the rest of my fam. I’m sorry Rook but I can’t take it. I listened to three episodes and with everyone trying to talk over each other it makes it difficult to listen to. During those three episodes I tried finding a subject that would catch my interest and beg me to download more but it didn’t happen. To family oriented (meaning your kids) for me. 20 somethings really don’t have anything worthwhile to listen to in general. So can’t say I didn’t try. Good Luck.
