I installed iTunes to write a positive review. AND I had to recover my password. Brett is great at asking interesting questions instead of just getting the same origin story anybody else could. The show was sadly underpromoted on the old network, so I was late to the party, but I'm glad I showed up.

Systematic was my first podcast subscription back when it was on 5by5. I came for the Mac nerdery and stayed for the heartwarming humanity. Brett is a refreshing open book about living with mental illness while pursuing a life of his own authorship since leaving Engadget. He's genuinely curious and skillful at interviewing a brilliant, diverse, and hilarious guest list. I'm also proud to say listening to this show has cost me a small fortune in amazing software and gadget recommendations I would never have discovered that have made my digital life way easier.

Brett’s down to earth discussion with such talented and interesting people (himself being one as well) is just always worth listening to. I love the work you are doing here and how your personality shines through in the interviews. Great work!

Love this podcast. My favorite episodes were the john roderick episodes

Brett gives all us techies something different. He gives us tech talk from a different angle and with different types of people. If you want something different then the typical 2 guys talking about the same tech issues then you need to listen to Systematic.

I can't think of another podcast that hits this high a sweet spot of variety and interest. Tech and internet superstars, actors, musicians, artists, playwrights, dog trainers ... all different and all fascinating. Every episode is must-listen for me.

There were supposed to be strippers handing out tacos here. Oh well, still worth 5 start - same as i gave for the first 122 episodes.

This is an awesome show. I started listening about 1 year ago and liked it so much I have replayed all previous shows. It remains at the top of my playlist!

Love the show, always, and have been listening since episode 1

Brett has managed to create what I consider to be the "Fresh Air" of the tech nerd world, where in most interviews he gets his guests to talk about their work habits, personal inspirations and influences (and, sometimes, "deep dark secrets"), while injecting his own affections and quirks into the mix. With over 200 episodes under the belt, the show keeps getting better with a more diverse mix of guests and Brett still finding common interests and curiosities with each of them. Good luck on the new network!

I have made it a point to not rate anything in iTunes up to this point. Systematic has been my favorite podcast for well over a year and when I heard the change to the new network, I had to do my part and get the word out. Brett’s podcast format is excellent. I love his style and the top 3 picks… I can’t wait until a week passes so I can hear more picks. His guests are unique and informative - definitely not the typical cycle of podcast guests. If I were to be stranded on an island with only one podcast to stream, his would be the one. That’s my honest review.

This show really bloomed at 5by5-Brett’s style of asking the awkward question with wide-eyed curiosity really leads to some interesting places, and the recent series of episodes with John Roderick showed that he’s not afraid to try something new and just let a guest go for it. Love the top picks, and have discovered a lot of great creators through the show!

Brett has a wonderfully relaxed way to chat with his guests. Like a box of chocolates. You never know where the conversations will go. Always enjoyable.
