I will forever be grateful to Professor Perry for putting books on the table and bringing to network television the diverse view points I had never seen or heard. Watching her and her guests was a quick eye opener for me as a Black Woman with little education. I love learning and upping my perspective. She and Dorian provide the workout for us to be better thinkers, citizens and a culture. I will be listening, as this is one of many podcasts that keep me from catching cases. 😆🙏🏾💯✨🔥❤️🖤💚💜💙🤍💛🤎

Starting listening to MHP ages ago when she was on XM radio on weekends. That’s when I first heard her story about birthday cards from her dad that always ended “the struggle continues”. During these last few years, I now have a much better understanding of what that means. Learned great lessons on organizing from DW after reading his articles in the Nation magazine. Listening to both play off each other in this podcast is a perfect match.

This podcast has it all: great topics, great interviews, great production values. And it couldn’t have come at a more critical time in the life of our communities, nation, and world.

I love this podcast! I’m curious about systems in general, but I love episodes about “why are people poor?” which include stories told by actual people who *are* poor. The descriptions of life here would ring true with my psychotherapy clients and the people I grew up with. I love to hear stories and theory by people who actually know people I know.

Been entirely too long since I could do my learning every weekend on MSNBC.

To say I’ve missed hearing the thoughtful and wickedly brilliant voice of Melissa Harris Perry is an understatement. Thank you. First two episodes are right on time.

Bringing nerdland to a car ride near you. Episode 1 explains what a system is. Alicia Garza and Sherilyn Iffil give us an in-depth explanation of election law and power acquisition. Much better than the 3 minutes they get in broadcast media. Dorian asks question than makes you rewind just to understand them, and I love it. Dr. Harris-Perry gives answer that you have to replay and write down. I’m in heaven.
