Switching Teams: A Gay Dude and a Straight Dude Talk Sports

Recovering from Ronn’s holiday eggnog party, the boys discuss NFL, the difference between hookers and call girls, Lilith Fair, and dubious NHL broadcasting. Ronn dreams of mall-walking and knows a lot of Paula Abdul songs. Joe adjusts to life after Wentz and avoids going to Ronn’s slumber party. No animals were harmed in the making of this podcast.

Ronn gets up early and is not a Cher kind of gay. Joe yells “It’s a sneak”and enjoys a few minutes of his Eagles game blissfully unaware of how the whole season is about to come apart. Also, is Roger Goodell a good commissioner; how not to celebrate the 4th of July; and we chat NFL, MLB, boxing, sports tattoos, the NBA, award shows, and why your nuts can’t get a concussion. Ronn plays “Bowl Game, Bowling Alley, or Bowl from Crate & Barrel”.

Eli Manning gets benched; Ronn has a better way to handle boxing weigh-ins, and Joe has a new appreciation for NFL schedules. The boys find a new meaning to being #2 on the depth chart. Ronn tests Joe’s World Cup draw knowledge, and plays a game of “Football Player or Male Model?’

Ronn drives a Jaguar and celebrates the Giants' (2-8) inevitable Super Bowl Championship. The boys discover a new way to cover the spread, and Ronn drives a Jaguar. Tyrod Taylor gets un-benched, Lisa Loeb doesn't know what a Long Island Iced Tea is, Ronn drives a Jaguar, Tiny Tim buys a shotgun, and Joe plays a hyphenated game of "Name or No-Name". Oh, and Ronn drives a new car...but we won't tell you what it is! 

We interrupt Joe's brunch this week for a discussion of the NFL, bad behavior in sports, Red Rover, shoplifting, new replacement referees, dubious sports tattoos, shimmying, horse racing, handling the Stanley Cup, and the grooming habits of John Elway. Ronn finds a new way to get some free time at home, and Joe gets a new radio nickname. Then the boys round it out with a game of "Stakes or No Stakes".

This week on a special Freaky Friday ST: the best way to dance into the end zone, practicing safe sacks, Irish marathons, how not to make an NFL trade, great names for lesbian dating apps, flagchecking, adventures in NFL broadcasting, tree attorneys, alternate NHL team names, and more.   Ronn has an unreasonable amount of energy, and struggles to make his own food. Joe has issues with SF baseball fans and hates the word "Metropolitan". The boys round it out with a game of "Injured Player or Injury Attorney?"

The boys discuss the NFL, racism in baseball, the Super Bowl halftime show, sexism in golf, cheap shotting Edie Falco, antisemitism in soccer, Quiznos, and some NHL predictions. Joe tries to embrace the Eagles' newfound success, and has an idea for a new NFL protest. Ronn can't stand people in wet clothes, and suggests a way Justin Timberlake can patch things up with Janet Jackson.

The boys discuss the NFL, Marshawn Lynch, Hollywood Squares, the World Series, Kathie Lee Gifford, the NBA, stilt-skating, dump cakes, dubious sports heckling, the WWE, finding lost art, and the most clutch homecoming queen ever.  Ronn goes lobstering, Joe is very superstitious, and Ronn tests Joe's knowledge of corporate stadium names.

The boys discuss the NBA, NFL, Al Michaels, insensitive tweets, soccer, Mike Ditka, bowling, the art of protesting, boxing, great touchdown celebrations, bad comedy, the Top 40, and curling. Ronn discusses his heritage and doesn't like learning. Joe explains what you can and can't bring to a basketball game.

The boys discuss the NFL, NHL, pee-wee football, Cam Newton, tennis, memorializing the Manning brothers, the WNBA, and the Mayo Clinic. Ronn questions his football loyalties, and is VERY excited about his hockey team. Joe takes a trip to the Shark Tank and finds common ground with Sharks fans. Plus they welcome in basketball correspondent Josef Anolin to preview the NBA season, discuss the draft, and to play a game of "Lottery winner or Lottery winner".
